What is your opinion of ROCH minor character Hung Ling Bor?

Lee Mok Sau's student Hung Ling Bor is a character who appears extensively through ROCH, but she's not a focus character and rarely gets much attention. Still, ROCH '83 (if not Jin Yong) seemed to give this character some depth: although circumstances dictated that she serve the evil Lee Mok Sau, Hung Ling Bor was not the vicious, ruthless creature that her teacher was. Hung Ling Bor was capable of kindness and mercy and indeed, that seemed to be her natural disposition. Under different circumstances, perhaps she could have been a heroine instead of a villainness.

She's compassionate to her martial sister, feminine enough to be charmed by Yang Guo, loyal to her master to whom she owed everything - I don't think I ever rated her as a bad person at all. Even when doing her teacher's bidding she rarely came across as vicious and evil, just arrogant and fierce. If only she had a different sifu things would be so different.

In ROCH 06 she was REALLY cute too.. was heartbroken when she died..
