Default Should we make contact with advance alien civilization?

If future technology breaktrhough allow us to talk with advance alien cilivization in the vast universe....should we?
Without knowing if they are a peaceful race or not....should we?
and which country spoke man should be the representative to do so?

And is anybody here that actually think that we're the only lifeforms on this planet solely alone and that there's no one out there.

We've already been beaming radio signals into deep space hoping to get an answer back; so far, nothing but background cosmic static.

Maybe those static sounds are indeed one of the alien language.

Alien means stuff that we have yet to have a name for it. Even the smallest creature on this planet can be call an alien if no one have given it a name yet.

The universe is vast, why do you think we're just solely alone?
If people were to think like you than who would set out and learn more about things they don't know?
Like if someone grew up on a piece of small land and surrounded by the vast ocean from all corner. And that person would say, well this must be the only land there is so no need to do anything about it.

Who knows what's embedded in all that static, but as far as scientists can tell, it's the background noise of the universe that's a faint echo of the Big Bang that created all the matter in the universe about 15 billion years ago.

I believe we should. They probably have answers to questions we have and vice versa.

I thought the term alien refers to creatures from other planets, not from earth.
Yes, the universe is vast but the condition of other planets is not livable. Fortunately/unfortunately, earth is the only planet that has a condition that is livable.

If they exist then we should, but the problem is they do not exist.

How are you so certain that they do not exist?

If they exist, I think we should communicate with them. Good to know more things in life.

uhhhh because people like you are too non curious to look up in space every once in a while that's why you say they do not?
It happen before with Ming Dynasty Admiral Zhang He........ He was about to discover something great but the emperor call back all the ships and the mainland failed but there's always hope because of people like Marco Polo and Christoper something.

No no no no no. Look at the movies. Every time we get into contact with beings from outer space, they always bring war to Earth.

    A case for non-hostile aliens

However, these views have been disputed by, among others, the late Carl Sagan, who speculated that any technologically advanced extraterrestrial civilization would be advanced ethically as well, and would not be aggressive, and that humanity would, due to the extraterrestrial civilization's technological prowess, reciprocate this non-aggression. Corroborating this view, a study conducted by James W. Deardorff states that only a small percentage of extraterrestrial civilizations may be aggressive. Such civilizations may use various methods in order to help humanity, such as immediate actions to avert catastrophe (i.e. creating computer glitches in nuclear-weapons systems on the eve of global nuclear conflagration) or long-term mitigation of risks which may destroy humanity before true technological cooperation

If they are technologically advanced like us or even more, they are probably smarter than us and will probably have no problems learning human languages. Hopefully they pick the easiest one to learn.

It's highly improbable that there is no alien out there. The universe is so big.

The condition might not be livable for humans. But, who says it's cannot be livable for the alien race that are born there.

It's not that far off that the possibilities of life exist elsewhere, especially when we consider the claims of earth-like planets discovered already:

I think that humans want to know if other life exists because of what that would mean for us as a species.
