For a few horrible seconds, I was afraid that YZ exchanged Yang Guo for Zhen Zhi Bing and completely altered the scene, which, unfortunately, strikes me as something he would do. He did say he was going to change the rape scene and give it an entirely different feel...that is enough to convince me that YZ is himself a creep.

I find the hairstyles and costumes among the characters to be very inconsistent, unlike other adaptations. Seems like everybody is living in their own era. I know it's wuxia but some of the costume choices are a real turn-off.

EXACTLY, some of them look like they're from the Han Dynasty, others Tang and gosh I don't even know but it looks like a time travel series. The Gongsun girl's costume can compare to the ridiculous one from HXM's version, she looks like she stepped off the set of Tang Gong Mei Ren Tian Xia.
