It's not just Beijing, a lot of other areas in China experience similar problem. Beijing isn't the most polluted city of China. I bet there are place in China that is even worse than Beijing. When my family visited my father hometown (beside Guiyu), the pollution level is very very bad as well. It's sad that my father hometown is so polluted to the point of underground water is not usable, lake and river is black. On the bright side, lot of people getting rich from polluting the environment.

wow, so smoggy, hopefully it will improve in the future. Not just china but I think all over the world its getting worst. Was reading an article earlier today, it mention we are driving ourselves to extinction by all the pollution.
This is Guiyu, China. It's close to my father hometown. As bad as it is, the owners are rich. They are millionaires. The workers are poor and getting lot of sickness from recycle E-Waste. The next generation living in the area will have a very tough life.
