Indeed. The castration thing was about preventing fire deviation during the practice of the manual. But a LOCH level great with profound internal energy could bypass, I guess, the castration. So, if the character you are referring to (Linghu Chong, right? Because I have not read up to the latest chapter) managed to acquire truly profound internal energy, he may be able to do so.

But I guess like all wuxia stories the godly martial art skills is just as crucial. I am fine about him being as good as DFBB or a level lower because at the end they are probably going to be there for each other no matter what. I am actually more interested to see the progress of the characters relationship development ie lhc and dfbb, the little monk and lhe, lf and ryy. The surrounding of the Divine Sun Moon Cult’s forbidden ground was rather calm. Only birds chirping from the trees could be heard. All of a sudden, the rock doors of a cavern slides open. A shadow strode out of the cavern with inhuman speed, unleashing a flurry of needles towards the birds. The needles flew straight into the birds in an unimaginable speed killing it in a blink of an eye. The shadow then turned around and strode back into the cavern.

Yue Lingfeng somersaulted in the air twice and sat down on a big rock inside the cavern. “The Sunflower Scripture’s martial arts skills are indeed formidable. I’ve only mastered a small portion of it but my inner energy seemed to have become more profound. If I continue to master the skills written inside the scripture diligently, I’ll certainly become the martial arts world number one person in less than ten years,” he thought.

Later, an alarmed looking masked man exited a passageway and hurried towards the Hall of Refined Kindness. “Hold it,” a sharp and high voice coming from the left spoke.

The masked man halted his steps and looked towards the direction of the voice. The moment he saw that it was Yue Lingfeng, he quickly got down on his knee to salute him. “Greetings, Deputy Chief Yue.”

Yue Lingfeng stepped out of a pavilion and strode towards the masked man in a flash. He cleared his throat and then asked in a coarse and rough voice, “What is going on?”

The masked man looked up at him and replied, “Nothing important, Deputy Chief. Subordinate is just here to see the Holy Maiden.”

Yue Lingfeng looked away from the masked man and continued, “The Holy Maiden is not available to see you now. You can report things to me.”

The masked man pursed his lips without saying a word.

Yue Lingfeng could sense his discomfort. “If you’re not going to say it then you’ll never get a chance to say anything ever again,” he said coldly.

The masked man panicked. He cupped his hands and quickly replied, “Deputy Chief, please be merciful. Subordinate has given my words to the Holy Maiden not to tell anyone about this.”

Yue Lingfeng could sense that Ren Yingying was doing something behind his back. He was very eager to know what it was. He abruptly turned around and shot his hand out. His palm emitted a stream of energy around the masked man’s throat and hoisted him up. “Speak!” he shouted.

The masked man placed his hands around his throat trying to catch his breath. “Left Emissary Xiang was killed while….he was carrying out the Holy Maiden’s orders…subordinate came back to seek for further instructions from the Holy Maiden….”

Yue Lingfeng exerted his strength, gripping the masked man’s throat even harder. “What orders?”

“To bring Dongfang Bubai and Linghu….Chong’s heads back to her….” the masked man gasped in pain.

Yue Lingfeng’s facial expression immediately changed. “Dongfang Bubai is alive?” he asked excitingly.

The masked man nodded, “They’re…on their way to Mount Hengshan…”

Yue Lingfeng could not contain his joy. “Sister is alive! She is alive!” he thought in tears.

“Deputy Chief…subordinate have reported everything to you….please be….”

Yue Lingfeng pulled back his hand and subsequently thrust his palm out, sending a forceful energy blast into the masked man’s chest. The masked man flew backwards into the air, fell onto the ground and died.

“Looks like I’ve to make a trip to Mount Hengshan,” Yue Lingfeng said joyously. He suddenly thought about something. “But first I need to take care of Yingying so that she does not cause any more trouble. Ren Woxing is busy meditating inside his chamber so he won’t have time to trouble me.”

Two masked men guarding the entrance of the elegant house cupped their hands and saluted Yue Lingfeng the moment they saw him walking towards them.

Yue Lingfeng ignored them and proceeded straight into the elegant house.

The door swung open. Ren Yingying took her hands off the zither and looked towards the door to see who it was. “Brother Yue….” She called out smilingly.

Yue Lingfeng went up to Ren Yingying, held her in his arms and kissed her lips passionately without saying a word.

Ren Yingying was completely startled. She slowly placed her hands around Yue Lingfeng’s back and returned his kiss passionately. Before she knew it, she felt a sting on the side of her neck and fell unconscious.

Yue Lingfeng propped her up with his arms and laid her down in the bed. He leaned forward and stared at her. His eyes were filled with a strong murderous intent. “I should just kill her right now to make it up to sister,” he thought angrily.

There was a sudden knock on the door. “Deputy Chief, the Holy Chief would like to see you at once,” a voice spoke from the outside.

Yue Lingfeng clenched his fist as he fixed his cold eyes at Ren Yingying. “I’ll be there shortly,” he said coldly.

A dozen of masked men got onto their knees the moment they saw Yue Lingfeng step into the main hall. “Greetings Deputy Chief Yue! Long live Deputy Chief Yue!” they said together.

Ren Woxing turned his head towards Yue Lingfeng and said loudly, “Feng’er, old man has finally found a way to overcome the flaw in the Art of Star Absorption!”

Yue Lingfeng bowed with his hands cupped. “Holy Chief is wise and unrivalled. Unifying the martial arts world for a thousand autumns,” he congratulated.

Ren Woxing laughed coldly, “Gu Santong thought that he could trap me by removing the most crucial methods of the art. After spending twelve years in the underground dungeon analyzing the art old man has finally succeeded to regulate the different streams of inner energy inside my body!”

Yue Lingfeng pressed his lips as he looked at Ren Woxing disturbingly. “The next thing I need to do is get rid of this old villain. But I definitely need to learn the methods of regulating the different types of energy streams before killing him. Though I’ve only absorbed the inner energy of one person but there’s no guarantee that I will not absorb more people’s inner energy.”

He stepped forward and said joyfully, “Chief, we should hold a feast to celebrate your success.”

Ren Woxing nodded laughingly, “That’s for sure! But what we really need to do now is impart the regulating method to you first. I will not allow my son in law to suffer the energy collision that I had to endure for so long.”

Yue Lingfeng hesitantly walked up to the dais and bowed at Ren Woxing cautiously. Should Ren Woxing make a move on his, he would kill him with the needle concealed in his sleeves. “Chief, subordinate await your further instructions,” he said.

Ren Woxing pulled a small piece of paper out from his chest pocket and handed it to Yue Lingfeng. “Yingying is going to be very happy to know that her father is such a martial arts genius,” he said proudly.

The moment Ren Woxing mentioned about Ren Yingying, Yue Lingfeng immediately thought of something. “Chief, subordinate has decided to leave the mountain to search for a method to dispel the San Shi Nao Shen Dan Poison inside Yingying’s body,” he said.

Ren Woxing let out a sigh of despair the moment he recalled that his beloved daughter had been poisoned by Dongfang Bubai. “Old mas has actually sent people out to look for the Killer Doctor Ping Yizhi but there is still no news about him,” he sighed. He then handed the Dark Wood Command Tablet to Yue Lingfeng. “Take this. Make use of all the divine cult’s manpower if necessary. Kill whoever you need to. The monastery bells up on Mount Hengshan were sounded. All the nuns gathered inside a main hall, standing below the dais.

Zhu Jian and Mei Jian escorted Linghu Chong and Dongfang Bubai into the main hall shortly.

Linghu Chong held onto Dongfang Bubai’s hand as they walked up to the dais.

As the couple stood on the dais looking at the nuns below them, Dongfang Bubai started recalling the day she officially became the Chief of the Divine Sun Moon Cult. The only difference was that the atmosphere on the Dark Wood Cliff was much grander.

“Apprentices pays respect to Headmaster Linghu and Miss Dongfang,” the nuns cupped their hands and said together.

“Martial sisters, please skip all the formalities,” Linghu Chong responded with a smile.

Dongfang Bubai gazed at Linghu Chong with a wide smile. Flashbacks of her first encounter with Linghu Chong at the brothel, their first time drinking together in the prairie, their sparing session in the Repentance Cliff and many other moments spent together started running through her mind. “We’ve actually come such a long way. When I first met you, you were only a little disciple of the Huashan Sect. Today you’ve become the headmaster of your own sect,” she said softly.

Linghu Chong patted her and replied, “My greatest fortune is to be able to meet you. But let’s talk about this later.” He chuckled and reminded her that there were people looking at them from below.

Dongfang Bubai pursed her lips and held back her laughter. She turned away from him, climbed down the dais and and went up to Zhu Jian. “I want to go and pay respect to Yi Lin.”

Zhu Jian cupped her hands respectfully and said, “Little nun Yi Lin’s tomb is in the back of the monastery. Servant will bring you there now.”

“I’ll come with you too,” Linghu Chong said softly.

Dongfang Bubai turned around and gave him a nod.

Zhu Jian and Mei Jian led the couple to the garden of remembrance in the back of the mountain. As they walked through the gates, Dongfang Bubai noticed a tomb right under a big tree with the words ‘Tomb of Little Martial Sister Yi Lin’ engraved on it.

Dongfang Bubai slowly walked towards the tomb, looking at it expressionlessly. Her heart was swelled with bitterness. She placed her hand onto the tomb and stooped down beside it. She gazed at the tomb with a biter smile on her face, compressing her emotions so that the others could not see it.

Linghu Chong could sense it. He looked at Zhu Jian and Mei Jian and said, “You two may leave now.”

The two girls bowed and retreated.

Linghu Chong went up to Dongfang Bubai and patted her as he looked down at the tomb.

Dongfang Bubai’s eyes became watery as she started recollecting the times spent with Yi Lin when they were much younger, the simple and more joyous times.

“Sister, I miss you so much…I thought that I would lose you again…I don’t ever want to lose you again!” Yi Lin said emotionally, inside the freezing chamber at the Shaolin Temple.

“Yi Lin….Yi Lin….sister promise you that you’ll not be left alone again…Sister will never ever make the same mistake again….” Dongfang Bubai whispered into Yi Lin’s ear.

Dongfang Bubai pressed her lips and cried with an extremely angry look on her face. “I never really spent much time with Yi Lin after we reunited…Now I really regret it,” she sniffled. “She has always been a naïve and harmless girl. Among the four of us, she was the one my mother loved most…”

Linghu Chong stooped down and gave her a hug.

Dongfang Bubai leaned her head against Linghu Chong’s chest and started crying. “Yi Lin doesn’t deserve to die….Yue Buqun can kill me all his wants…why did he have to kill my only sister…” she weep bitterly.

A shadow standing lightly at the top of a tall tree overheard her words.

After crying for half a day, Dongfang Bubai wiped off her tears and started to feel better. She was very thankful to Linghu Chong for lending her his shoulder and being there for her. If it wasn’t for him she might have barged into the Huashan Sect and wipe out everyone in the school a long time ago. His presence was able to contain her violent temper.

Linghu Chong gently combed his fingers through Dongfang Bubai’s hair. “You’ve not eaten anything yet. Let’s go and find something to eat first,” he said softly.

Dongfang Bubai held onto Linghu Chong’s arm as she walked away with him.

As soon as Dongfang Bubai and Linghu Chong were completely gone from the area, the shadow leaped off the tree and landed in front of Yi Lin’s tomb. “This is little sister’s tomb…? This is really my little sister’s tomb?” the shadow uttered in shock. The shadow was in fact Yue Lingfeng.

Yue Lingfeng crouched down and shed drops of tears, touching the tomb gently. “Little sister…we’ve been separated for so long…how could you just leave without even saying a word to your second brother…” he murmured bitterly. Although he has separated with Yi Lin for many years but he could never forget the childhood memories that they spent together. He leaned his head against the tomb and continued crying.

“Little sister, you have my words that you’ll not die in vain. The moment the right chance comes, brother will wipe out all those who deserve to die…the Huashan Sect will vanish from the face of the earth,” Yue Lingfeng uttered bitterly.

He reached for a jade flute tucked in the back of the girdle. “Since today is our reunion day second brother will play you a song called ‘The End’. He lightly leaped into the air, soaring in circles and started blowing the jade flute. A melancholic tune echoed through the vicinity.

It started drizzling later in the night. Dongfang Bubai was so disheartened that she just could not sleep. As she walked back to the garden of remembrance to keep Yi Lin company, she heard the sound of a flute. It was the same tune that she sang to Linghu Chong at the medical hall. She dropped the umbrella to the ground and ran towards the sound of the tune hastily.

The moment she got to the garden of remembrance, the sound of the flute was gone. Only the sound of raindrops falling from the sky could be heard. Dongfang Bubai could tell that it was Yue Lingfeng who was playing the flute. She cast a quick look around the garden but couldn’t see anyone in the area. There was only an embroidered sachet hanging at the side of Yi Lin’s tomb.

Dongfang Bubai rushed over to the tomb and held the embroidered sachet in her hand. Her eyes became watery the moment she realized that the embroidered sachet belonged to Yue Lingfeng. She turned around and looked all over the place trying to locate her brother.

“Dongfang Xiong! (Dongfang Xiong is in fact Yue Lingfeng’s real name, before he was adopted by Yue Buqun) If you’re here then come out and see me!” she shouted in anger. She stomped around garden looking for her brother. “Dongfang Xiong! Why don’t you dare to come out and see me?”

Seeing that Yue Lingfeng may have left, she clenched the embroidered sachet and let out a sigh of agony. She lightly dropped to the ground and uttered in tears, “I really don’t understand why you came to Hengshan but refuse to see me….I know I’ve done a lot of wrong things in the past to achieve my big plans…heavens can kill me but please don’t make me lose my siblings one after another…”

Yue Lingfeng was in fact still around. He was hiding behind a big tree, afraid to see his sister. His heart was swelled with pain and grief as he listened to Dongfang Bubai’s words.

“I’ve plotted and killed countless people in the past. If it’s their friends or relatives who comes after me I would have nothing to say. But what really surprises me is that in the end it was my own blood brother whom I loved with all my heart who tried to kill me…he is not whom I thought he is…” she sobbed. “Where are you? I want to listen to your explanation…really…”

Yue Lingfeng looked down to the ground with a sigh as tears began to form in his eyes. He did have the intention of going up to Dongfang Bubai and apologize to her. But the moment he thought about what has become of him, he had no choice but to change his mind. “Sister, I know that even if I were to die ten thousands of times…it would not be enough to heal the pain that I’ve caused you….I’m really sorry,” he thought in despair.

Dongfang Bubai slowly pulled herself up from the ground and looked towards Yi Lin’s tomb. “Heavens, it was I, Dongfang Bubai who killed all those people. Not my siblings. If you want to penalize go ahead and penalize me….leave my siblings alone!” she said sniffled.

The more she thought about Yi Lin and Yue Lingfeng, the angrier she became. She was no longer able to contain her composure. She clenched her fists and shifted her stance from one foot to another. Raising her right hand, with a strong gust of wind she sent a forceful energy covered palm strike towards a tree, splitting it into half. She then leaped into the air and discharge a wave of pure energy in the shape of a sword that slashed anything in its path. Each move was executed with unimaginable strength and speed.

Yue Lingfeng remained in his position watching Dongfang Bubai in action. He could sense her anger and frustration. “Bear with me sister….I will make it up to you real soon….” he thought, as tears flowed down is eyes.

Just then, a shadow strode towards Dongfang Bubai in a flash. Dongfang Bubai instantaneously slashed her hand down at the shadow’s head. The shadow was able to parry her attack but force behind it was so immense that he lost his balance and dropped to his left knee.

“Let me spar with you…”

Dongfang Bubai was slightly shocked the moment she realized that it was Linghu Chong. She quickly pulled back her hand and helped him up. “Linghu Chong, are you alright?” she asked with concern.

Linghu Chong let out a sigh of relieve. “For a moment I almost thought that I would have died in your hands,” he said with a grin.

Dongfang Bubai turned away from him and started to wipe away her tears. “You know that I would never kill you…” she replied softly.

Linghu Chong replied, “It’s been so long since we exchanged moves. Let’s have some fun tonight.”

Dongfang Bubai looked towards him and said with a smirk, “I probably won’t be able to beat you anymore. Especially now that you’ve mastered the Art of Star Absorption.”

“How can that be possible? Brother Gu already said that you are the most formidable fighter in the world,” Linghu Chong said with a smile.

Dongfang Bubai raised her brow and replied, “Brother Gu? Did you mean Little Gu Santong?”

Linghu Chong nodded, “Yup. Divine Sun Moon Cult’s elder, Gu Santong.”

Dongfang Bubai looked at him astonishingly. “Little Gu who treat your internal injury?” she asked smilingly

Linghu Chong placed his arm around Dongfang Bubai and said, “It’s actually a long story. Let’s leave the mountain and find a place to drink first. I will tell you everything as we drink.”

Yue Lingfeng smiled faintly as he overheard their conversation. “Big Apprentice Brother is a good man. He definitely would be able to give sister happiness,” he thought, with a wide smile on his face.

The couple was the only ones drinking at the wine stall. Linghu Chong spent over two hours telling Dongfang Bubai all that had happened. From the time he met Gu Santong till the time they almost got killed in the Dark Wood Cliff. Dongfang Bubai took a sip of wine and returned the cup to the table. “Thank heavens Little Gu figured out that there was another secret passage under the raised chair. Otherwise you guys would have been blown into pieces,” she said with a sigh of relieve.

“Actually Brother Gu only found out about it after sitting on that chair. Since we were going to die anyways he decided to sit on the Chief’s chair just before he dies to have a feel of what is it like,” Linghu Chong chuckled.

Dongfang Bubai shook her head and said, “Everyone thought that Little Gu was killed by Ren Woxing that year. I am glad to know that he is still alive. Who would have expected him to impart you his Art of Star Absorption and treat your injuries.”

Linghu Chong griined and said, “We somehow became good friends during our first encounter. You know how I like to poke my nose into other people’s business…”

Dongfang Bubai nodded with a chuckle, “Always trying to play hero.”

“You aren’t any better by the way. You were pretending to be a call girl in that brothel,” Linghu Chong replied smilingly.

Dongfang Bubai retorted angrily, “I heard that some of the Songshan Sect fools were planning something against me. I was just curious to find out what they were up to that’s why I was at the brothel, Young Mister Linghu.” She then paused for a moment and continued, “Where is Little Gu now? With his martial arts skills it should be real easy for him to enter and leave the cliff.”

Linghu Chong filled Dongfang Bubai’s cup with more wine. “After we made it out from the hall I was in a hurry to find you so I got separated with Brother Gu and Senior Tong. I’m sure that we’ll be able to see them again real soon. They are sure to come and attend our wedding ceremony,” he said with a smirk.

Dongfang Bubai just smiled and said, “You’re not thinking of proposing to me here just like that are you? Where are the gifts? You need to show some sincerity, Mister Linghu. Young lady here isn’t any ordinary girl that you can just get your hands on.”

Linghu Chong snorted and said, “We’re people of the martial arts world hence all those ritual formalities doesn’t apply to us.”

“Well for me, it certainly does apply,” she rose from her seat and walked back to monastery in a flash.

Linghu Chong placed a few taels of silver on the table and quickly ran after her. “Hey wait up!” he shouted.

Yue Lingfeng lightly leaped off from a tree and sat down at a corner table. “Bring me a bottle of wine!” he spoke.

The stall keeper responded happily, “Coming right up sir!”

“Sister and Big Apprentice Brother does make a perfect couple,” Yue Lingfeng murmured with a grin. He then thought about Qu Feiyan. “If Feiyan was still alive we would have our own kids by now…” He clenched his fist angrily.

“It’s all Yue Buqun’s fault. I’m going to make him suffer a millions times more than what we’ve suffered,” he though furiously. His mind was clouded with hatred, anger and aggression.

Moments later, a masked man dressed in black hood somersaulted three times in the air and landed at a bridge. He ran up to Yue Lingfeng who was playing the jade flute under a pavilion.

“Subordinate pays respect to Deputy Chief.”

Yue Lingfeng placed the jade flute onto a round wooden table. “I want you to find out where Huashan Sect Yue Buqun is,” he said coldly.

“Yes,” the masked man replied and left right after.

Yue Lingfeng lifted up the jade flute and started playing a melancholic tune. This time he was using his inner energy to play the flute, sending waves of energy into the river and subsequently produced a massive explosion that caused columns of water in the nearby river to spiral towards the sky. “Little sister, second brother will not let you die in vain. Every single person in the Huashan Sect will accompany you in grave real soon…” he thought with an evil grin.

Time passes so fast. It’s been a month since Linghu Chong and Dongfang Bubai settled down in Mount Heng. Today was the day where Linghu Chong officially becomes the headmaster of the Hengshan Sect. Red lanterns and banners were hanging from the top of each house, showing the day's happy occasion.

Linghu Chong popped his head out of a room window and noticed the beautiful decorations.

Mei Jian pushed the door open and stepped into the room with a bucket of water in her hands. “Morning, Young Master. Servant has prepared some water for you to wash your face,” she said with a smile.

Linghu Chong walked up to her and asked, “I thought I said that Abbess Ding Yi, Ding Jing, and Little Martial Yi Lin passed away not too long ago so it’s not necessary to have any extravagant ceremony?”

Mei Jian smiled. “It was Miss Dongfang’s idea to host a major ceremony. She said that Hengshan Sect is considered is part of the Five Mountain Sword Sects and a reputable sect in the martial arts world. Hence, the accession of the new headmaster should not be ordinary.”

Linghu Chong was silent. “Miss Dongfang just lost her sister but yet she is going her way out to do this…She is truly nice to me,” he thought. He felt appreciation towards her.

He took a quick look around the vicinity. “Where is she?” he asked anxiously.

Mei Jian replied, “Servant has no idea. Let me go and look for her.”

Zhu Jian came running into the room. “Young Master, some monk by the name Buke Bujie is here to see,” she said.

Linghu Chong’s mouth dropped wide open. “Buke Bujie? Who is that? Could he be one of Abbott Fang Zheng’s disciples?”

After putting on a more proper attire, Linghu Chong rushed over to the assembly ground. As he stood at the top of a broad flight of stone steps, he noticed a monk standing in a corner timidly. He leaped into the air and stride towards the monk.

He cupped his hands and greeted the monk. “Junior Linghu Chong pays respect to abbott. Was is Shaolin Temple’s Abbott Fang Zheng who sent you here?” he asked courteously.

The monk had his back turned towards Linghu Chong the whole time, not willing to look at Linghu Chong or. As he turned around, his face was full of embarrassment. He looked at Linghu Chong and smiled slightly. Linghu Chong felt that this monk looked familiar but he couldn’t figure out who he was. Then, he was startled as he unexpectedly recognized the Ten Thousand Miles Loner Tian Boguang. He was totally amazed and blurted out, "It's... it's Brother Tian?"

That monk was really Tian Boguang. He smiled bitterly. “Nice to see you again…Brother Linghu.”

Linghu Chong knitted his brows staring at Tian Boguang. “How… how did you become a Buddhist? Is it a disguise? You’re not here to cause trouble are you?” he asked in a stern voice.

Tian Boguang smiled bitterly and said, “This is the real thing. I’m not deceiving anyone here. I’ve really become a monk. My name now is Buke Bujie (Buke Bujie means Cannot Have No Commandment).”

Linghu Chong laughingly said, “How did you end up becoming a monk? Have you finally regretted your sins and turned back to shore?”

Tian Boguang heaved a long sigh. “It’s a long story. Two months ago I picked on a martial arts expert and almost lost my life. If I didn’t join the Putian Shaolin temple to look after a little monk I would get castrated.”

Linghu Chong puckered his brow. “Putian Shaolin temple? Little monk? Is his name Buhui?” he asked curiously.

Tian Boguang immediately nodded. “Yes. My Senior Apprentice Brother’s name is Buhui. How did you know about that?”

Linghu Chong immediately knew who the person behind this was. He extended his hand and punched Tian Boguang in the abdomen angrily. “How dare you pick on my sister?”

Tian Boguang was startled. He cupped his hands and bowed at Linghu Chong apologetically. “I didn’t mean it...if I knew she was such an expert in martial arts and was your sister I would have ran far away. I was instructed to come here and congratulate you today. Once the ceremony is over I’m going back to Putian Shaolin temple to keep my Junior Apprentice Brother company,” he said bitterly.

Linghu Chong snorted and said, “You’re lucky she did not take your life. But I’m surprise that she sent you to take care of Little Monk Buhu.”

A group of men walked towards the assembly ground. They were Zu Qianqiu, Lao Touzi, Lu Zhuweng and and many other people who had unexpectedly come here.

“Congratulations, Young Master Linghu. Today is your happy day,” Zu Qianqiu said.

Linghu Chong was surprised and happy at the same time. He quickly welcomed them. “I received Abbess Ding Yi’s last order so I must take the leadership of the Hengshan Sect, but I didn’t dare to alarm all the friends here. How come you’ve all come here?”

“Everyone heard that Young Master managed to rescue Miss Dongfang from the Dark Wood Cliff and we all felt really happy. This matter of Young Master taking up the headmaster position of Hengshan Sect it was already known in martial arts world for quite a long time. If we don’t come up the mountain today to give our congratulations, then we deserve to die,” Lao Touzi said with a smile.

Ever since Linghu Chong stayed on Mount Hengshan, he had only been around a group of nuns and young ladies so he had to talk with the utmost restriction. Now, suddenly, as he found so many old friends around him, he was extremely happy.

“Congratulations Brother Linghu!” a loud voice spoke.

Linghu Chong looked towards the direction of the voice. “Senior Tong? You’re here too!” he said delightfully.

Tong Baixiong and eight other men dressed in black robes walked towards him. “It’s been a while since we met. I heard that you’re taking up the headmaster position of Hengshan Sect so can I not come and congratulate you. If it wasn’t for you I would have died a long time ago,” Tong Baixiong said with a grin.

Linghu Chong smiled. “Good to see that Senior managed to escape from the Dark Wood Cliff safely.”

“Actually I almost got killed. If it wasn’t for Young Master Yue I would have died in Ren Woxing’s hands,” Tong Baixiong explained.

Linghu Chong was astonished. “Junior Apprentice Brother Yue saved your life?”

Tong Baixiong nodded, recalling the incident on the Dark Wood Cliff. “He knocked me unconscious in the main hall and secretly let me go later.”

The mountain peak very getting noisy and lively. Majority of the guests were from the unorthodox sect.

Suddenly, they heard the footsteps of a group of people carrying a sedan chair coming nearer. Two middle aged men wearing black robes strode up the mountain. “Divine Sun Moon Cult is victorious in every battle. Long live the Holy Maiden! Just and wise! Unifying the martial arts world for a thousand autumns!” they chanted.

The two middle aged men were Jia Bu and Shangguan Yun.

The moment Linghu Chong spotted them, he could sense that there was going to be trouble.

Four masked men placed the sedan chair to the ground.

Ren Yingying stepped out of the sedan chair and walked up to Linghu Chong. “Young girl has come to congratulate Young Hero Linghu's honor in becoming Hengshan Sect's headmaster. We wish Hengshan Sect to be prosperous and Headmaster Linghu to be prestigious in martial arts world."

Linghu Chong smiled faintly. “I’m really shocked to see you here. Tell me that this is not real.”

Ren Yingying went closer to him and started whispering to his ear. “Where is Yue Lingfeng? I’m here to look for him.”

Linghu Chong was shocked. “You lost your companion and you came here to look for him? Isn’t that a major joke?” he said laughingly.

Ren Yingying pressed her lips and continued, “If you don’t return Brother Yue to me now I’m going to wipe out the entire Hengshan Sect.”

Linghu Chong snorted indifferently. “Since it’s a good occasion today I’m going to let you live a little longer. If you insist to stir up trouble here I won’t be polite to your anymore.”

Just as Ren Yingying was going for the handle of a short sword on her waist, a masked man dressed in black hood somersaulted in the air and landed behind her. He got down to his knee with his hands cupped. “Holy Maiden, Deputy Chief has instructed you to see him at a pavilion below the mountain right now,” he spoke.

Ren Yingying turned around to look at the masked man. “Let’s go then.”

Linghu Chong gazed at them confusingly. “Junior Apprentice Brother is here too?”

At this moment, a two monks were walking up towards the mountain top. They were Abbot Fang Zheng and Great Master Fang Sheng.

Linghu Chong went to welcome them. "Great Masters have come here personally, how is Linghu Chong worthy of this?"

Fang Sheng laughed. "Young hero, you had entered Shaolin two times already, and yet this is just our first visit to you here at Hengshan. So it can be said that we're just respectfully visiting each other."

After inviting the two monks to take a seat, Linghu Chong went over to Zhu Jian. “Zhu Jian, I need you to go down the mountain and see what’s going on at the pavilion,” he whispered.

Zhu Jian responded with a bow.

Thirty masked men armed with swords were guarding the surrounding of a pavilion. Yue Lingfeng was sitting under the pavilion playing a flute.

Ren Yingying and her followers arrived shortly. “Brother Yue!” she called out.

Yue Lingfeng got up from his seat and walked towards Ren Yingying. “What are you doing here?” he asked indifferently.

Ren Yingying held onto his hand and said, “I’ve something I need to tell you.”

Yue Lingfeng pulled his hand away from her and subsequently slapped her in the face. “Tell me what? That you tried to make use of me to kill my sister when I had a short term memory lost?!”

Ren Yingying lost her balance and fell onto the ground. “I know that I’m in the wrong….but my feelings for you are real…” she sniffled.

Yue Lingfeng extended his hand and used his inner energy to pull the short sword out from the scabbard towards him. “Do you know that I hate people who lie to me! The worst part is that you made me kill my own sister!”

Ren Yingying said bitterly, “When I first plotted to kill Dongfang Bubai I didn’t know that she is your sister…If I had knew earlier…I wouldn’t have gotten you involved…” She slowly pulled herself up from the floor.

“I know that you’re never going to forgive me for this…but I hope that before you kill me you can at least give me a chance to give birth to our child first…I’m six months pregnant” she said bitterly.

Yue Lingfeng was astonished. He had already castrated himself in order to master the Sunflower Scripture. He didn’t expect himself to have any descendants. Now that he realized that he is going to be a father soon, he was completely dumbfounded. “She isn’t lying to me this time. If she’s six months pregnant she is definitely not lying…” he loosened his grip and dropped the short sword to the ground.

“Why is heavens being so unfair to me? Why?” he stumbled backwards and shouted furiously.

Ren Yingying wiped the tears off her eyes. “Dragon Boat Festival is only another 5 months away. I hope that you can let me live for another three months. After I’ve delivered I will commit suicide to redeem my wrongdoing…”

Yue Lingfeng was lost for words. His mind had gone completely blank.

A masked man ran up to him. “Deputy Chief, there’s a problem. Our spies just reported that the Wudang Sect, Beggars Clan and Kunlun Sect are on their way to Hengshan. They want to avenge Priest Qingxu’s death. Looks like an intense battle is going to break out soon.”

Yue Lingfeng stared at Ren Yingyig coldly. “You must be behind this again.”

Ren Yingying looked down to the ground silently.

Yue Lingfeng strode out of the pavilion and rushed towards Mount Heng.
