In wulin, there's a code about personally avenging yourself against your enemies without relying on others, but in fact, many characters HAVE recruited plenty of help to avenge themselves. Gwok Jing's quest for vengeance against the Jin prince who murdered his father required not only his effort, but also those of his teachers, Wong Yung, and his various wulin and Mongol friends. Yeung Gor's (mistaken) quest for vengeance got help from not only Little Dragon Girl, but also the Golden Wheel Monk and the other Mongol mercenaries. Even Kiu Fung welcomed Ah Chu's assistance when tracking down "Leader Big Brother."
Then we have Golden-Haired Lion King Tse Tsun, who sought vengeance against his former teacher Sing Kwun, a much more powerful fighter than Tse. Not only was Tse Tsun no match for Sing Kwun in terms of martial arts, but he couldn't even find Sing, and resorted to mass murder in Sing's name to draw Sing out into the open. I wonder: instead of using such a horrible method, why didn't Tse Tsun ask for help among his Ming Cult brothers? Surely, Yeung Siu, Fan Yiu, Wai 1 Siu, Yan Teen Jing, and the others would have lent him their support, and collectively, they would have had a better chance of locating Sing Kwun and could defeat him together.
