I'm been thinking of giving hunting a try but I detest the taste of mutton and duck. In the distant past I've tried rabbit -I can't remember what it tasted like but it wasn't vomit inducing like the mutton and duck. Since squirrels and rabbits are fairly similar I figure the same would be true. Has anyone eaten squirrel? How was it prepared?

My shooting skills are not the greatest. I can routinely hit a soda can from 30'-50', and squirrel silhouettes at that distance but I'm not sure how many of them would be vital shots. I figured if I did go through the hassle of obtaining a hunting license, and can actually bring myself to shoot a small furry animal, that I'd make sure it wouldn't go to waste.
