hmm..interesting. I hardly write down drastic events that happened to me on that day, but I should try this method then. usually I would read positive quotes or listen to inspirational music besides the other hundred of things I do when having a bad day.

My fix is definitely go for a run or an exhilarating bike ride. Don't neglect food/water/nourishment, because that won't remedy matters.
Depending on the severity of what went down, I may turn to catharsis through the written word or confiding in a beloved friend.

sometimes I talk to someone or as mention earlier, write it down. Sometimes that help.
I agree, running sometimes help me too.

Now that I am in my mid 30s and less impulsive than when I was younger, I am far better at not letting many things bother me. Disassociating myself from the situation, even for mere seconds, seems to work to steer myself back toward the right frame of mind.

Close your eyes. Breathe deeply. Corny as that sounds, it does work. For me, at least.
