This book is made in 1970s maybe, I don't know. As far as I know the author is someone who was very famous in making Wuxia books in Indonesia.

1. I'm trying to translate this as I read, so no summaries.
2. I'm not a native English speaker, so no complain about the grammars please. If you want to, you can point it, and I will try to repair it.
3. There are no chapter, so I will make it as I pleased.

Chapter 1

Huang-ho River or also called Yellow River which very famous in Tiongkok spill its water in Pohai Sea, in San-tung province northern region. Tens even hundreds of kingdom can come and go, millions of people can die and live again, but Yellow River still spill it’s water to the sea.

At that time, Tang Dynasty which start at the 7th century lives in prosperous era, but at the start of the 8th century it start to undergo major changes. Major corruption are done by all official and government employee, start from the very bottom to the top, making the country become weak, people become miserable, and chaos start everywhere. Another nation, like Tibet which already became allies since Sron-can Gam-po, the chieftain of Tibet, married with Wan Ceng princess, now began to show a less friendly attitude.

Tibet tribes which became very powerful, often show hostility and make an insult to Tang soldiers that guarding the north boundary. Not only Tibet tribes, even Nam-cow tribes also starting to show hostility. Everything happens because Tang Dynasty looks like a mess from inside. Troop’s strength becomes weak, because it full of scumbag commanders doing major corruption.
In this situation the story starts! On the edge of Po-hai Sea where Yellow River spill, it’s very quiet because it’s a wild place and no one lives there. Who dares to live at Yellow River valley near the sea? It’s the same as living near wild dragon’s mouth, which at any time can rise and eat people near it. Every time rain season coming, the valley that looks green and very fertile, can change become a wild sea.

However, at that time, rain season already long gone. Yellow River Valley which consist of fertile land and full of green grass. Very beautiful scenery, and the sound of the wave hitting coral reef at the edge of sea, make an unending sound.
Even though no human ever come, but at that time, a shadow stand up straight at top of blackened coral reef. This man is already old, his clothes full patches like a beggar, his long hair looks unmaintained, he has a tall and thin body, but when seeing his face, it looks majestic and influential like an emperor! His age actually only forty five years, but he looks old because he didn’t take care of himself.

This old man stand straight while sometimes stares at the wild waves, sometimes start at the Yellow River water that combine its water with its old relative, which is sea water. He opens his two thin hands, then talk to himself.

“Huang-ho water start from rain, seeing a heap of cloud at the top of sea, isn’t this means back to home? Nature so big, powerful, and fair, how can it compared with emperor power? Nature tends to give, always giving, not like an emperor that always request! Ah, how stupid my brother Pin, why should I follow his footstep? Today he appointed as minister, joking with position and wealth, how can he know about true happiness? Let me joking with nature wealth!?”

After saying that, this old man starts to step down from the coral reef mountain. The coral reef are very big and slippery because always doused by sea water, and all of it tip is very sharp, what’s more the formation is very steep. It’s very strange, that old man can step down from that stone as if he walks on flat stone. He doesn’t looks like using any balancing technique; he only walks normally without seeing watching his step.

Even more astonishing, when walking down from the stone, he opens his mouth and start singing! His sounds are very loud, on the same level as the sound waves hitting coral reef. It’s as if the waves create a music rhythm that accompanies the old man singing. As if don’t want to lose to the waves sound that getting louder and louder, the singing too getting louder and louder. He is singing repeatedly:

If you pull an arrow, and pull it to full arch,
You will regret why you didn’t stop at the right time.
If you sharpen your swords to the max,
Your sword edge won’t last long.
If you have gold and gems fill your house,
You will busy and confused how to secure all of it.
Brag about your wealth and worship your position,
It means you sow the seed of destruction.
Rest after your task finished in accordance to Thian-ho roads (Natural Law)!”

The words that spoken by the old man are not random lyrics, but the words rhyme from a poet which called Big Saint Lo-cu! That old man now arrived at the beach, and then he starts walking to the sea!

What he wants to do? Very strange. He standing with his two legs spread wide and his two hands at his waist facing the sea. He stands beside the coral reef, waiting waves as big as hill coming!

When the winds blowing hard and the waves that coming are really tremendous and frightening. When the wave getting closer to the beach, it became bigger, and it act like death threats. But, between the sounds of wave, you can hear the old man laughing really hard. The wave coming at full force, bringing the power of thousands of kati (1 kati = 0.5 kg), hitting the coral reef and the standing old man, creating a booming noise which can be heard dozen li (1 li = 0.5 km) away. However, between the booming noises, you can still hear the laughter of the old man. When wave coming, he open his arms then push it to the front, his body no longer stand up straight, but rather leaned forward.

The waves breaking at coral reef and disappear becoming water that flow back to sea. The coral reef wiggle when it gets hit by wave, but it still stand up straight, symbolize an incredible strength. And that old man? He still standing, a little out of breath, but still laughing happily!

“Ha-ha-ha, Coral reef old man, doesn’t that wave using Tian-san-ciang (Shook the mountain punch) hand techniques? Ha-ha-ha, doesn’t that punch are the same as kid’s punch to you and me?” After talking to coral reef, he shouts “Wave old man, come on, use all of your strength, I want to see how you can roll coral reef old man!”

Waves come hitting and go, but coral reef and the old man still standing straight. It’s like he said, he’s joking with waves and coral reef, joking with nature!

After withstanding wave forces five times, the wind recedes and only small waves that coming, he becomes bored and when he start landing, suddenly from the top of that coral reef jumped down a human shadow with speedily. Suddenly a bald monk with a body like a ball and round face, stand in front of him and start laughing. Then he bent over, and starts pushing the coral reef.
It’s really great. The coral reef that withstood numerous waves don’t know how many thousand times unmoved, only wiggle a little, now after getting pushed by him it start tilting and collapse!

The monk only a little out of breath, then facing the old man and start laughing.

“Heh, heh, heh, Ang-bin Sin-kai (Red faced invincible beggar), even though waves old man are really strong, but he doesn’t have intellect like us. How can he push down this coral reef?”

The beggar old man start laughing while looking at the sky “In this place meeting with Jeng-kin-jiu (One thousand kati hand), are a joyous event. There are best friends coming from far, isn’t that cheers up the heart?” This line is also an ancient saying which said by Khong Cu Saint. “Eh, Thong Taisu brother, why are you coming this far south, are you coming just to push down this coral reef?

“Old stinky beggar! What’s so strange about pushing down this dead coral reef? If the wave can push down coral reef, it’s an amazing event. Visa versa, if pinceng (this is how monk or monk usually call themselves) can push down an old stinky beggar, living coral reef, then that are also a worthwhile event!”

Ang-bin Sin-kau old man or red faced invincible beggar start laughing “Bald head, so you want to try my power! Does that your reason of visit?”

“Rooster from south met rooster form east, why so many cock-a-doodle doo? Still asking about reason of visit?” after saying that, the bald and round body monk ran forward with his two arms open like he wants to run over and catching a frog.

Ang-bin Sin-kai knows even though this attack looks like a child play, but the power behind it are very strong. When he evades while jumping to the left, the sand behind him gets hit by the wind of the attack splatter up and the coral reef behind him swaying!

“Your hand technique Yu-coan-swe-jiau (Penetrating Water Punch) is very formidable!” Said by Ang-bin Sin-kai while counterattack with the same power.

Jeng-kin-jiu Kak Thong Shiu is the most well-known figure in the south area. In martial arts expert and gallant adventures views, this one thousand kati hand are considered as the best expert and feared. People are scared and shrink from him because not only his kung fu is very good; he also has a strange character that hard to handle. Because of that, Jeng-kin-jiu Kak Thong Shiu lives like an outcast. He lives in small empty island south of Kwang-tung Province and nobody dares to come to this island. People can only see this fat monk when he sailing and adventuring at Tiongkok land. His kung fu is very high, and he also famous as a gwa-kang (outside force) expert
(T/N: there are two forces, outside force (gwa-kang) and inside force (lwee-kang). Gwa-kang means you train your body like a bodybuilder, while lwee-kang means you train your qi)

That already trained to the top so that his power difficult to measure how big. Because of his gwa-kang power that he called Jeng-kin-jiu.

On the other hand, that thin and high beggar old man is also not an ordinary people. Nobody know his real name, even Kak Thong Taisu didn’t know his real name. Even famous people like Kak Thong Taisu only know that his family is aristocrat! He seldom displays his power and when at crowded places, people will only see him as a usual beggar. Of course nobody know even though he’s called a beggar and live like a beggar, not once he ever beg people for money! He’s called Ang-bin Sin-kai or red faced invincible beggar, because he has a red face like a healthy baby skin. Difference from Jeng-kin-jiu that already demonstrates his powerful gwakang power when pushing the coral reef; Ang-bin Sin-kai is a lweekang expert when he uses his power to take on multiple wave attack from the sea.

Therefore, this match that happens near sea is a match between gwakang expert and lweekang expert! For low level kung fu practitioner, it’s easy for them to say that between a match gwakang vs lweekang, of course the winner will be the lweekang expert.

However, this matter can’t be concluded like that if the gwakang experts already have a perfect mastery. Because at the core, it’s the same, only Jeng-kin-jiu rely more on hard power, while Ang-bin Sin-kai rely more on soft power.
How incredible this fight. Both of them jump, attack and evade. Sometimes they attack met, and both of them need to take a few step back because of the force. They jump a few times using their perfect ginkang as if they are two gigantic birds. Even once Ang-bin Sin-kai thrown to the sea and need to swim to get back, at another times the bald monk head bump against coral reef, however not only his head not cracked, but the coral reef that has a little crack!

well in 1970 until 1990 the translation of wuxia in indonesian always use hokkien dialect for naming the character and the skill.. the same for the author of wuxia with chinese base in indonesian they also use hokkien dialect

p.s. i think ang bin sin kai sin character is not mean invincible more like sage (divine) in great sage equaling heaven or qi thian da shen

in indonesia word i think kho ping ho the author mean sakti or had divine ability

Chapter 2

When they start fighting, the sun still at the top of their head, now it’s already gone behind the mountain, so that the light became dim. But they still continue the fight and still at draw. From fighting rely on speed, to slow motion, as if they are training, nonetheless their slow attacks contain big power that can immediately kill one of them if it’s connected!

With the coming of the night, wind start to become rough and you can heard the rumble at the distant indicating oncoming big waves. Both of them still continue their fight. The longer the fight, the happier they are because after not meeting for years, they can feel the other skill more advanced and greater. Because of the incoming tides, they forced to continue their fight at higher place.

Wind rampaging, the sky full of black cloud making the surrounding became really dark. Only a person with very high skill can still to continue the fight with this condition. They can’t see their opponent, because it’s impossible to see in front of them, even they can’t see their own hand, let alone other person. But with their trained hearing, they still can hear the wind their opponent make when attacking!

At midnight, both of them became very tired. They still can deliver a blow, but that blow lack of the power needed to injury their opponent’s body. At last their old age catch up, making both of them became weak and tired. When they contesting their power and both of their hand touching and pushing each other so that their opponent fall to the sea from the coral reef, suddenly the coral reef get hit by a strong wave making it tilting! Both of them quickly jumping down, worry they also get brought down and get buried by coral reef.

After arriving below, both of them still standing face to face! Suddenly from the darkness, they can see a green light from the middle of the sea. Sometimes the light float to the sky and disappeared.

“Ah, that’s the signal a ship in danger!” said Ang-bin Sin-kai.

“Right, isn’t you can see a red light for a while and then lost again?” said Jeng-kin-jiu

Both of them paid more attention, and they can see a light sometimes high sometimes low because of waves.

“Their fate is sealed!” Ang-bin Sin-kai said with certainty.

“Shark will have party after the storm subsided. In a storm like this, how can they escape?” said the monk.

“Even we didn’t have the power to help them.” Said the beggar old man.

“Right, pitiful. Seeing another human get played by death, but can’t help. How sad it is!” said the monk and his sound really sounded sad. Hearing this, the beggar old man also become sad. Both of them sit on coral reef side by side, stare at the sea. Sometimes they exclaimed excitedly when they see the red light, and their heart pounding restless when they can’t see the fire anymore.


“They still alive!” said the monk with happiness when seeing the green light floating to the sky.

“Hopefully they can survive!” pray the beggar old man.
Late at night, storm rampaging, but both of them still sit there, relieving their fatigue, however their heart still restless seeing how a big ship gets played by big waves and storm.

At down, the storm and waves disappeared; it’s very strange if think about it, the sea water that previously rampaging like there are a big war beneath it, now became silent and calm, clear like a big green mirror. Even the sun that arise from it, you can see it’s shadow in the water, not moving at all, signaling the water are really calm! As if the big giant now sleeping relieving the fatigue after half a day showing their might.

Jneg-kin-jiu Kak Thong Taisu and Ang-bin Sin-kai still sitting side by side, never turned their eyes from the sea. They became limp and gloomy like a sad thing happens. This isn’t strange, because after the storm passed they can’t see the red light anymore!

“We are like traitors that see our race get killed without helping” said the old beggar slowly.

“What can we do against nature power?” Jeng-kin jiu consoling him,

“Giam-lo(Death God) already claimed their life, who are we to obstruct his work? Instead of depressed because of the past, why don’t we continue our pibu( real battle simulation training)?”

The beggar became come around, and turned to monk while smiling “You are right, we still don’t know who the winner is. Let’s go!” He jump down from the coral reef, followed by the fat monk with excited face and in a moment these two people resume already in place while preparing their footwork!

Suddenly these two people hear something and they look at each other, then these two starts laughing loudly, what they hear is the sound of their stomach because of hunger. The beggar stomach make a high pitched sound, while the monk stomach make a low pitched sound. Their battles that last a night make them become very hungry.

“Smelly bald, why don’t we start shutting up our stomach first with food before resuming our battle?” asked Ang-bin Sin-kai.

“I agree! It’s very annoying to hear it, It’s like hearing woman whining” answered by the monk.

“Eh, perverted monk! How can a monk like you start talking about woman? Are you outside prostate to the Buddha and purifying yourselves, but your heart still thinking about beautiful woman?” asked the beggar with suspicious eyes.

Jen-kin-jiu only laughing, “In a place like this, where can we get a food?”

The old beggar smiling and raise his hand to the sea, “There is a vast ocean in front of our eyes, what are you afraid of? I think even your fat stomach can’t eat all of sea can offer” While saying that, the beggar start plunge to the ocean and swim to catch fish.

“He, bald rice bad, are you will still ciakji (abstain from eating meat) and let your fat empty belly full of fart?” shoud the beggar.

The monk start laughing loudly, “Who’s willing to abstain from eating meat and always eating vegetable but in his heart and mind always remembering about delicious fish?” While saying that, the monk start plunge to the sea and race the beggar who’s catch bigger fish.

After the bald monk start using his power to move at seabed, at last he catch a big fish as big as him. The fish struggle to get loose, and even though in land Jeng-kin-jiu are a gwakang expert that his power not losing to an elephant, but in water he can’t resist this fish.

He almost let go of the fish, luckily he quickly stab the fish head with his two fingers so that the fish head cracked! After Jeng-kin-jiu Kak Thong Taisu rise up to the sea surface, he can see Ang-bin Sin-kai also start swimming from the middle of the sea. The beggar also carrying something that looks like a fish from afar, but after both of them in the beach, the monk staring with wide-open eyes at the “fish” the beggar carrying.

“Omithohud!” the monk start saying the Buddha names.

“Are you really successing in capturing a mermaid?”

“Shut your mouth, bald monk! You better start helping this kid. If I don’t know that you understand medication, for what reason I carrying him to the beach?”

The beggar then put down a kid he carry on the sand. The unconscious kid has a blue face, bloated stomach full of sea water. The kid has a bald head and seeing his clothes, you can tell he is coming from a middle income family. Only his clothes now looks ragged and he only has his left shoes! And he looks like only five years old.

“Omitohud! At last we can help someone from that sink ship!” said the fat monk while squatting examining the kids. He like the kid very much because he has a handsome face, and when he checking the kids body, he knows that the kid has an excellent bones for practicing martial arts! The main point that make the monk like this kid are his bald head, he has a slick bald, like himself!

“Good boy… good boy… “He said it numerous times while stroking his slick bald head. The beggar becomes irritated when seeing this.

“You want to cure him or you want to stoke his head?” he asked angrily.

Suddenly the monk praying and he said a poem from Buddha Gautama lesson,

“There are no difference between Nirwana and Sengsara.”

“Always talking but didn’t work are a character of siauw-jin(son of *****). Working hard but never talks about it are a kuncu (wise man)!” shout the beggar angrily.

At last Jeng-kin-jiu Kak Thong Taisu start treating the kid. He hold both of the kid leg with his left hands, then turn the kid upside down while using his right hands to pat the kids stomach that full of sea water.

“Throw that water, why you save it at your stomach?” While saying it you can see sea water flow out from the kid mouth so that his stomach becomes flat again. Then he put the kid down at the ground, and moves his two hands so that his chest becomes upraised a few times. However the kid still didn’t breathe. The monk becomes irritated

“Disobedient kid, disobedient and stupid!” Although he angrily said that, but he still move his lips closer to the kids lips and stick his big mouth to the kids mouth and blow it a few times!

The old beggar can only stare at it and silently feels jealous because of the fat monk skills, because he doesn’t understand at all about healing technique. Soon after that, you can hear the kid coughing and his breath starts again. He only stretching a few times then opens his eyes, after that he sprang to his feet.

This two old man secretively feels amazed. This kid really has good bones and amazing endurance, even though he just escaped from danger, now he can move swiftly.

“Good kid, what’s your name?” the old beggar asked.

“How about the other passenger?” the monk also asked.

For a while the kid stare looks like disorienting and even though he try to remember, he really lost his memory.

“Who am I? Where am I? Ah.. I don’t know. Who are you two?”

This kid really has a high-pitched voice and a pair of bright eyes. Ang-bin Sin-kai and Jeng-kin-jiu Ka Thong Taisu looked at each other, and then both of them laugh loudly.

“I’m called Ang-Bin Sin-kai,” the beggar introduced himself.

“And I’m called Kak Thong Taisu,” the fat monk also introduced himself.

“Why am I here?” the kid asked.

“If there is no Hai-liong-ong(sea dragon king) go ballistic, how can get eaten by wave? And if there no two of us here, how can you are here?” the beggar said it with elusive words. However the kid is very clever. He kneel immediately in front of the two old man while saying,

”I really don’t know why I’m drowned in the sea, however both of you helping me, I really thank both of you very much. I wish Kwan Im Pouwsat bless both of you.” He kneels and then bows a few times.

Both of the old man stares at each other with wide-open eyes. They feel very happy about the kid attitude.

“Eh, good boy, looks like your parents are Kwam Im Pouwsat worshipper. This is great!” Kak Thong Taisu said.

“Who are your parents, and whats your name? Where are you come from?”

The kid shakes his head with sad face.

“I don't remember about my parents, even my name I can’t remember. Where I came from? I don’t know, what I know are I came from the middle of the sea, because didn’t both of you save me from there?”

while pointing his small finger to the sea.

You can hear Kak Thong Taisu laugh loudly. The sound are very hard make the kid became startled. He feels pain in his ear when hearing his laughing sound, so he quickly closes his ear with both of his hand.
“Why are you laughing, you bald ****er?”Ang-bin Sin-kai roars angrily.
“Ha-ha-ha, you shabby old man, even though on the outside you look shabby but you still can’t forget your nobility blood! Never mind, you can give this kid his last name. For me, what’s the meaning of last name? It’s troublesome! Good kid, now your last name is Lu like this old beggar last name. However your first name will be me give to you. Now your name is Kwan Cu”
“Lu Kwan Cu…” The kid speak slowly like talking to himself. When he sees the monk stop laughing, he also put down his hand that he used to close his ear.
“Yes, Lu Kwan Cu, good name, right?” the old beggar said happily “And now you will become my student!”
“Eh, eh, eh, Ang-bin Sin-kai, what are you talking about? Who said he will become your student? He is my student, don’t you know?”
“No, bald monk that always eat! He is my student. Lu Kwan Cu is Ang-bin Sin-kai student!”
“Crazy! He’s my student!”
“I’m the one who help him from the sea!”
“And I’m the one who give him his life back!”
This two old man facing each other with angry eyes, ready to win the child. Both of them become tense, and finally both of them start battle again! They release their most powerful punch so that sand flying because of the wind from their punch. Even when the kid that now named Lu Kwan Cu pushed back because of the wind, he rolled like a leaf in storm. Of course he’s very surprised and then he’s hiding behind a big coral reef. He also watch the battle with both of his eyes wide-open.

Now their battle are more fierce from their last battle, because last night they battle only depend on their ear, now they can summon up all of their skill and power. They forgot their hunger, the only thing that exist are their desire to win!

Suddenly you can hear the kids talking, “Strange, strange! I’m lonely, so I want a friend. Two people in this deserted place meet and get a friend, why they hit each other like a crazy buffalo? Ah, cursed, of course both of them are not right in the head!” Hearing this, even though they are in fight, both of them stare at each other wide-eyes, but they still continue their fight. When the kid saw how both of them still fighting, looks like he become bored.

He silently leaves that place. Of course Jeng-kin-jiu and Ang-bin Sin-kai know about that, but they are trying to defeat their enemies using full power, so they didn’t pay too much attention when he leaves.
After the sun high in the sky, fatigue and hungry make both of them become limp and automatically the fight also stop! Both of them sit in the beach while gasping for breath looking at each other. “You old bald bastard, your skill really high!” Ang-bin Sin kai praise him.
“And you thin beggar actually more powerful than the past. If only I can get IM YANG BU TEK CIN KENG book, of course you won’t hold out this long” said Keng-kin-jiu Kak Thong Taisu while inhale a long breath.
“Im-yang Bu-tek Cin-keng won’t fall in your hand, bald. That book will become mine. You’ll see!”
“Hem, not necessarily. Everything depends on Thian. Who got chosen to become number one kungfu expert, and then he can get the secret book.”
“Okay, let’s see who get the book. Now its better we postpone our fight until one of us get the book. What do you think?”
“Okay, Ang-bin Sin-kai. I’m very hungry, let’s eat. Eh, where’s Lu Kwan Cu?” The monk asked while looked right and left.
“Let it be, he already gone, because we can’t establish who win and who lose, lets him decide for himself who will become his teacher. There should be a fate between student and teacher, right?”

The monk nods his head, and then both of them catch fishes from the sea, and eat together. When viewed, it’s very funny and laughable. Both of them because of a small issue have a desperate fight. Now, after battle for hours until both of them run out of steam and even though they don’t have a serious injury, but at least of course there are several bruises. Now both of them sit like two best friends that have a vacation on the edge of the sea!

After eating, Jeng-kin-jiu Kak Thong Taisu said, “Ang-bi Sin-kai, now I want to go. Both of us already met and have undergone many happy events. Every encounter will end, why make it hard? I only want to say one thing. Regarding Lu Kwan Cu, whoever between us who can get him first, has a right to teach him five years. After that need to give him to the other, don’t monopolize it himself.”

The beggar nod his head, “Unless other people can take him away, right?”
“Of course! That kid has an excellent bone, he fit to be contest.” After saying that Kak Thong Taisu jumped and then use his ginkang. Even though he has a fat body like a ball, so that hen he walks, he looks like a rolling ball, however in a flash he already gone from Ang-bin Sin-kai gaze!
That beggar old man can be said a friend but can also be said his enemy, he then walk to the edge of the beach and watch the sea like daydreaming. His lips moving slowly and you can heard he whisper, “Im-yang Bu-tek Cin-keng, a secret book that coveted by all of kang-ouw expert, and that Lu Kwan Cu, a strange kid ….ah, it as if I can see a relation between this two!” For hours this old man stands like a statue in seafront, his mind got away by the waves that moves without stopping.

The strange old beggar, fat monk, and a kid full of mystery, also a book that kept call. All of this happens in Po-hai beach that full of nature secret. In this strange wold, there are many things that look strange in human eye. But who can defy nature?


“Lu Kwan Cu, good name! I like this name. I’m Lu Kwan Cu, yes, my name is Lu Kwan Cu, who else if not my name?” these lines repeatedly come out from a kid lips that walk alone in a desolate big road. He already lost his memory, doesn’t remember what happesn to him. He also didn’t remember about his parents that gone along with the ship he comes from. Everything gone swallowed by the sea, and if this kid is the only one who survived, and then he lost his memory, who else in this world that about this kid and who his parents?

Because of that, it’s become impossible to investigate about this kid family, then let’s we assume this kid name right now is Lu Kwan Cu, a five years old kid that as if thrown out by Po-hai sea to the world, alone without friend, with big appetite and ragged clothes with empty pouch! Because he feels hungry, he begs here and there to get food to satisfy his big appetite!

Kwan Cu is not like other children. His attitude, character, and how he beg prove he is a strange person. Other small kid, when they beg, they will cry and whine, tells their sad story to get sympathy from the audience.

These kid usually has low self esteem, scolded, beaten, can only accept it while crying. Differ greatly with Lu Kwan Cu, he never whines, never complains, and looks like he never has any problems. One day, in his aimless adventure, he arrived at Lung-to town, on the edge of Yellow River. Indeed Kwan Cu already leaves the sea, and then he follows the road along the big river and never go to far from Yellow River. He enter Lungto town in hungry and weary condition. He already travels 1 day and 1 night.

This area is less populated and the distance between towns is very big. Since yesterday, Kwan Cu hasn’t eaten anything, and in one day he continuously walks. Nothing can be eaten in his walk when he through the forest, except so many water that fills his stomach. However Kwan Cu not dares to drink too much because he remembers about sea water. He has a trauma regarding sea water with big waves.

In stumbling steps Kwan Cu enter the Lung-to gate. This is a big and crowded city; there are many store and big restaurant. Only in a while Kwan Cu can already get leftovers from a restaurant. Even though he already feels very hungry, but Kwan Cu not visible to rush when he bring the food below a big tree in the side of the road. Then he eats the leftovers he get from waiters. The way he eat also not looks like in rush, he even eat it with carefully. He doesn’t know ever since he enter the the town, he already spied by a fat man with scary face with face like movement.

“Good meat, pure bones…” a few times he whisper and looks very satisfied.

This big man is really suspicious and strange. Even though he has a big body, but he move quickly and nimblely. Strangely, every time he meets someone, he will sneak and hide, and because he moves quickly, nobody see him following Kwan Cu. This man has a big body and looks strong, with round face and wide mouth likes barongsai. He has short and rigit beard like a needle, and half of them are already white. The most outstanding thing is his clothes, because he wears red clothes, red like blood and blue pants! You also can see he has something in his back, you can guess it’s a weapon. In that era, there are many chaos, so bring a person bringing a weapon is not an unusual sight. Not only a kung-fu expert that bring sword or machete, even people who doesn’t understand martial arts, most of them bring a weapon for protection.

When Kwan Cu aeat, the big man approach him with a grin in his face. Kwan Cu lifts his face and stares at him. His face didn’t make him scared, he only make a frown. He already chooses underneath a deserted tree. From there he can see people loiter in the road, but nobody will take an interest to a small shabby kid that eats underneath a big tree. Why this person come and stares at him with grin in his face?

“Mister, are you hungry?”Asked Kwan Cu stop his eat. The big man laughs loudly and said

“Yes, I’m very hungry!” His attitude really like starving and wild people. Kwan Cu sees there are still leftover foods in his battered bowl at his left hand. Actually he isn’t full yet, but his stomach is not sore like before. Suddenly he gives his bowl to the old man and said

“You can take this and eat it!” The old man stupefied. Silently he feels amused seeing that kid attitude.

”You don’t know who I am,” he thought, “so you dare to insult me”

As a matter of fact, who are this scary face old man? If people who are walking on the street know who he is, it will become a shock. In the last few days, there is a disaster happen in Luong-to town because of a few children gone kidnapped by someone. So many people try to investigate it, but its uselss because the kidnapper didn’t leave any clue at all. People only think the kidnapper kidnap those kids to become slave, because all of them are healthy and sweet kids. If only people know that the kidnapper is Tauw-cai-houw, a half madman who does ferocious and creepy act, of course it will become uproar!

Tauw-cai-houw (Tiger collects debt) is a figure with high martial arts that has a strange and horrible habit. He likes to capture kids not to sell, but to … eat! And now Tauw-cai-houw in Lug-to town and already kidnapped a few children. More than that, today Touw-cai-houw already approaches Kwan Cu!

”If you still hungry just say it, I will provide it for you.” Then, the old man sees his bowl in Kwan Cu hand that full of leftover. He quickly grabt it and destroy the bowl by slamming it. Kwan Cu looks at him angrily, but Tau-cai-hou said,

chapter 4

“Wait a minute. You shouldn’t eat this kind of food. Please wait. I will bring you delicious foods.” He then step widthly to the restaurant and soon after that, he come back with big steps approaching Kwan Cu while carrying two bowl full of warm foods! When he put both of bowls in front of him, Kwan Cu becomes very wild.

The savory smells make his not so full stomach become hungry again. If he follows his desire, he will immediately eat those two bowls; However this kid is a strange one. He even moves his head to Tauw-cai-house, then said “Old man, I can’t eat this food.” For the third time Tauw-cai-house startled.

”Huh? Why?”

“We don’t know each other; we also didn’t have any relationship. Why when we just met you give me two bowl of food? Of course there are shrimp behind stone (Indonesian Proverb meaning: There is a hidden motive behind an act). What you really want?”

Now Tau-caim-houw becomes really dumbfounded. Never before he met strange kid like this. This kind of talk shouldn’t be come from a kid, but come from an adult with plenty of experience!

“Kid, what’s your name? You really are clever, I like it.”

‘Ah, my name is Lu Kwan Cu, and who are you, old man? And what’s the reason you curry my favor? I don’t have something to exchange with this expensive food.”

Tauw-cai-houw roar with laughter, so that a few people near that place stop and stare at him. However Tauw-cai-houw goggle his eyes, so people become scared and start walking again.

“Then you stole it!”With this line, Kwan Cu then pushes both of bowls so that it tumbles and all of that warm food spill on dirty ground.

” I am not willing to eat stolen food and you old thief better go and don’t bother me again.
From sense of wonder, that old man now become angry.

“Stupid, told to eat so you can become fat and healthy, you argue. You think you can argue in front of Tauw-cai-houw?”

After saying that, his hand strike at him and all of sudden Kwan Cu neck got caught like a tiger caught a rabbit. Then this big and scary old man step widthly, bringing Kwan Cu. When people see this, they become rowdy. When they start running to chase and and see how this tiger face old man start running very fast, they scream,

“Ah, he should be the kidnapper! Chase him!”

“Catch the kidnapper!”

“Kill him!”

So many scream start one after another and the chaser becomes more and more, however that old man is really good because only in a blink he already gone from so many people eyes, no one know where he goes. In a moment, there are chaos in Lung-to town and everyone talking about the kidnapping.

So many people gossiping about it, so not long after that it become a myth where a scary tiger face ghost kidnapping children! The city guards become busy because they are trying to find and catch the kidnapper that been terrorizing the city for a few days. However no one know where the kidnapper gone.

At the time people confused, comes a gallant and very pretty woman. This woman looks young, his age didn’t pas twenty five years, her clothes also simple white, however precisely this simple clothes increase her pretty face and her slim and compact body looks more obvious. In his waist hang down a sword which in it handle tip there are red silk threads.

Her long hair also tied with red silk thread. The border color of her white dress is blue, increasing her decorum. Who is this girl? Seeing from her attitude, there can be no doubt that she is a mighty martial art expert. This assumption isn’t wrong because actually she is a famous woman warrior called Pek-cilan (White Cilan Flower).

Actually this name came from her prettiness and her white dress rather than her martial arts. Her name is Thio Loan Eng, and after become an adult she has many adventures and done many big jobs, so she can lift her name. Her sword arts are very famous in kang-ouw, because Loan Eng is a daughter from Thio Keng In, a big figure in the west that has family sword arts from Thio family. Based on people belief, Thio sword arts is a Thio Hui heritage, a big figure in Sam Kok era!

When Loan Eng in Lung-To, she heard a noise and get out of her hotel room. She quickly heard about a kid get kidnapped by tiger face kidnapper, so she quickly investigate it. While laughing, Taui-cai-houw bringing Kwan Cu to a big forest south of Lung-to town, fifteen li from it. This forest is his hideout while kidnapping kids from Lung-To town.

After arriving in his hideout, which is a big field surrounded by big trees, he throw Kwan Cu to the ground. The kid tumble, however he quickly jumps up with wide-eye open. Now he really become scared because seeing so many human bones scattered in the ground. Seeing the size of the bones, he can safely assume that are kid bones, kid as old as he is!

Tauw-cai-houw gets a bag which he hangs in tree branches before. He opens the bag and put out a fruit with scale like snake skin.

“You eat this!”He said to Kwan Cu while giving it to him. However Kwan Cu didn’t want to accept it, he only shakes his head. His eyes didn’t reveal any fear at all.

“Eat!”He roars at him, however with recalcitrant Kwan Cu still shake his head.

Tauw-cai-houw becomes angry. He holds Kwan Cu neck and with only a push he opens the kid mouth. He kneaded the snake fruit with his right hand and crammed it to Kwan Cu mouth! The taste are sour and bitter, however because he continue to crammed it, Kwan Cu forced to swallow it! Very strange, even though it taste sour and bitter, after it enter his stomach, he feels his stomach become warm and very comfortable!

He doesn’t know that the snake fuit are some kind of rare fruit and its miraculous properties to blood flow. Not only cleaning blood, it can also strengthen the body. It turns out Tauw-cai-houw forcing the kid to eat this medicine fruit so that their body becomes strong and his meat, blood and marrow become the best meal for him!

After Kwan Cu swallows the medicine, Tauw-cai-houw laugh loudly,”Ha-ha-ha, for many years I never get a kid likes you! This time I will success. You are a sin-tong (miracle kid), heart and your brain would have produce for all of my hard work. Ah, you remind me how all of the other kid are only boan-tong (naughty kid). Hm, really sucks!”

After saying that, he lights a big bonfire, and install a big barbeque from wood something that you use to roast animal. Kwan Cu still didn’t understand, only look at the old man strange behavior. He silently does a comparison, which one is stranger, this old man or two old man fighting each other in beach.

“Ah, there are so many strange people in this world. Of course he is also crazy!” he said this, but he said this accidentally loudly, of course Tauw-cai-houw heard this.

“What are you say? You dare to call me crazy?”

“If you are not crazy, why catch me and bring me here? Then you force me to eat that bitter and sour fruit, this action if done by crazy people, then by who!” Kwan Cu argues bravely.

Then the rest of rope that used to tie Kwan Cu, he tied it to the branch right on top of burning fire!

If you substitute him with another child, of course they will scream loudly, but not Kwan Cu. This really has a steel heart and eventhouggh he already feels heat from bellow attacking him, he still bite his lips didn’t want to cry or scream.

“Really is sin-tong! Sin-tong!” seeing this Tauw-cai-hou becomes happier. However he suddenly become pale and curse loudly because fire below Kwan Cu make “ces,ces” sound and then it died. What happens? After forced to eat sour and bitter snak fruit, Kwan Cu really want to pee, however he has no time to do it because Tauw-cai-hou already tied him.

Now after hanged above, the heat make him can’t hold it anymore and pee just like that. Coincidentally, most of the piss fall on the fire and extinguish the fire because all of the wood became wet!

Kwan Cu is smart-witted. Now he already deduces that this crazy old man is of course a kid eater! Silently he shudders, however he doesn’t feel any fear! Looks like this kid fear already gone after he slip from death grip in the middle of ocean.

“Sir, didn’t you hear the sound of the skull talking?” asked Kwan Cu to Tauw-caihouw which was collecting dry wood again while grunting.

Hearing this, Tauw-cai-houw become very startled.

“Lies, naughty boy! How can a skull talking? Shut your mouth, you already full, but I’m still very hungry!”

“Who’s lying? I can hear the skull talking very clearly.” Now Tauw-cai-houw stops his work and stare at Kwan Cu where he hang with face down.

Kwan Cu issues a mocking voice.

“How can you hear it? I’m a sin-tong(miracle kid), don’t you remember?”
Saikong face changed, become pale.

“What are they saying?” asked him, his sound is not as loud as before.

“Put me down from here first, then I will tell you what I heard from them.”said Kwan Cu.

Tauw-cai-houw indeed a little crazy, after hearing this, he put down Kwan Cu.

Seeing his surprised and astonished face, Tauw-cai-houw laughed loudly, “Your hair, in your head and your body all of them are gone by coa-ko(snake fruit) effect. Do you think I like to eat hairy meat?”

Kwan Cu becomes angry. So that sour fruit effect is for making all of his hair fall out like a chicken revoked its feather become cooked? It’s too much!

“Come on, tell me, what’s the skulls talking about?” Tauw-cai-houw said with no more patience.

“They talk to each other about you,” Kwan Cu start telling him,

“They said that today is your death, because as sin-tong, my meat is hot and my marrow poisonous, when you eat me, you will die!”

Now Tauw-cai-houw become really pale and imperceptibly he step back 3 steps. He stare at Kwan Cu with wide eyes open, and still silent when he see the kid walk away while saying, “For your safety, don’t try to eat me!”

Kwan Cu walks away and didn’t dare to peek behind. His heart flutters because he didn’t hear a person chasing him. But can he really fool him that easy? However, suddenly he hear a swish wind and he already get caught again!
As before, his hand tied again and Tauw-cai-houw said threateningly,”Sin-tong, whatever happens, I will still roast you!

You think I am that stupid? I will take a piece of your meat and a little of your marrow and give it to a tiger first! If the tiger didn’t die eating your meat and marrow, why I should fear eating you?” he said while laughing and taking Kwan Cu back, now Kwan Cu really have no hope. However this still didn’t crying or screaming for help. He still face it with open eye, in fact his eyes becomes brighter.

Suddenly, a white shadow came, with a big sound. “Evil demon, let go that kid!” this growl coupled with a sword coming to the chest. Tauw-cai-houw startled because the sword move is very fast. He forced to release Kwan Cu. Kwan Cu feel his forehead hurt getting hit by a stone, however this kid didn’t complain and quickly tilt his head to see what happens.

It turns out the one who attacking the kidnapper is a beautiful white dress woman. When the attacker which turns out is Thio Loan Eng, she finds the kidnapper trail that tell her the kidnapper running with small children, then she try to pursue to the forest and coincidentally she saw Tauw-cai-houw holding a small kid. She become startled when knowing who’s the old man, while at the same time feeling angry, so she directly attacking him with Sin-liongjut-tong(Magic dragon out of the cave)

Tauw-cai-houw is a martial art expert with high experience, so even though he suddenly get attacked this trong, he still can release Kwan Cu. And then only with one move, he already pulls out his big and sharp cleaver.

“Small bastard, who are you daring to attack me?” growl Tau-cai-houw while put his cleaver in front of his chest threateningly.

Loan Eng stand tall while pointing his sword at Tauw-cai-houw. “Vile demon! I already long heard your crime and coincidentally we met here. This means you Tauw-cai-houw will soon die. Bad person, you already lost your own son, why now you cruel to other kids? Are you didn’t have any more feeling so that you make children like this?” with his left hand Loan Eng point to the skulls that scatter around Kwan Cau.

From a while ago, Tauw-cai-houw only stands amazed. Never before in his life he ever sees a woman so beautiful, that reminds him of his late wife! Then after hearing Loan Eng remark, he wakes up and for some time can’t say anything!

“Tauw-cai-houw, get ready to die!” Loan Eng growl while seeing the opponent only standing while stare at her with amazed eyes. With this exclamation, this brave woman attacking again and now she move his sword with terrific move. “Miss, please don’t attack me... If you want me to release this kid, I will do anything you want, however… please don’t leave me forever…”

Loan Eng already heard about Tauw-cai-houw, and she already heard about this strange old man history, and also knows that he is a little crazy. However, hearing his request, whether you want it or not, she feels embarrassed and her face becomes red.

Tauw-cai-houw scream and after repeatedly calling his wife, his body twitches and no long after that he breathes his last breath. His chest already pierced by Loan Eng sword, which quickly get cleaned by Loan Eng and with only one slash, she already sever the rope that tied both of Kwan Cu hands.

Loan Eng thinks this kid kneel to show his gratitude, however she got fooled. Kwan Cu even standing tall in front of her with burning eyes while saying, “You are very cruel!”

Loan Eng really stupefied.

“What? I’m cruel? If I’m cruel, then how about him? “ She uses her sword to point at Tauw-cai-houw body.

“Him? He’s evil.” Answer Kwan Cu without hesitation.

“Hem, stupid boy. If didn’t do something that you called cruel before, do you really think you still breathing right now? Maybe you are already inside his big and fat stomach.”

“However you didn’t need to kill him.” Denies Kwan Cu and after hearing his words, Loan Eng feels amazed. “I will bring you to wherever I want.”

“Why? For what?”

“Stupid kid, do you like to roam alone in this world that full of crime? A moment ago you just go through a death and life moment, do you really don’t want to follow me, become my student?”
