    Default ATV has closed down.

It is sad that ATV has closed down. It has brought me wonderful series during my childhood days.

It did, but considering how they refused to air HKTV serials at a reasonable price I am kind of upset with them.

I was sad the first time around but it has broken my heart too many times with all the wasted chances it had to revive itself. I still love the ATV that I grew up with but it had died a long time ago. The ATV now is just an empty shell.

I read some news that Ricky Wong offered them a very decent amount of money (50% of advertisement money with a guaranteed of minimum HK$5 million per month) to air their serials. ATV demanded 50% of advertisement money with a guaranteed of minimum HK$10 million per month, something Ricky Wong did not accept. To be honest, I think Ricky Wong offered them a very decent deal. If ATV accepted the deal and with the popularity of HKTV serials, ATV could receive much more than HK$5 million a month. If everything went well, Ricky Wong might be willing to invest into ATV and the company could survive. I wonder why ATV did not take a chance.

The golden days of ATV serials are gone. I kind of made my peace with that and accepted that it's gone.

Not sure why they decline HKTV's offer either...........
We can always still enjoy some of the series that are produced in the past.

    Good bye ATV

It just stopped abruptly in the middle of the program.

Been watching interviews with former ATV artist. Interesting a few artist mention one person is mainly responsible for ATV's downfall.

Read somewhere that ATV may start airing again as an online service. Does anyone know anything about that?

Any word on HKTV? I think I heard it was going to be an online service too. If ATV becomes an online service, I wonder if it will put stuff on youtube like TVB is doing with some of its series.
