    Default Why did STAR WARS suddenly recruiting British actors/actresses?

    Don't ask me about the OT. I don't know the backgrounds of any of the actors/actresses. The actor who played ObiWan, he looked sort of British to me...

    Anyways,

    Why is STAR WARS going big on British talents now? Finn is just some Brit pretending to be American with faked accent.


    ANSWER: B/c STAR WARS derives from Jin Yong's works. It was first published in Hong Kong under the name of Condor Trilogy. Hong Kong was under British rule until handed back to China in late 90's.

    The Brits in the ST are a sort of "Easter eggs", if you will, to acknowledge SW's true birth place...

    Whether American or British, they're both one and the same, both are Anglo-saxons. SW originated from Anglo-saxon territory HK (was)...
