Whose injury was graver? Ah Chu's (by Yeun Chi) or Wong Yung's (by Kau Cheen Yan)?

Both Ah Chu in DGSD and Wong Yung in LOCH sustained internal injuries from powerful palm attacks that left them close to death. Ah Chu was stricken by Shaolin Head Abbot Yeun Chi's Mighty Gum Gwong Palms while Wong Yung was wounded by the Iron Palm Union Chief Kau Cheen Yan's Iron Sand Palm. In both cases, the young women needed extraordinary medical intervention (the medical knowledge of "Divine Healer" Sit and the 1 Yeung Finger Technique of South Emperor 1 Deng the Monk).

Which of the two women was more gravely wounded? Additionally, was this some kind of recurring trope in Jin Yong's wuxia stories? With Ah Chu, Wong Yung, and Little Dragon Girl, Jin Yong seemed to be in some kind of rut with female characters who sustain grave internal injuries.

I will say Ah Zhu's injury is more serious not because of the attack but in terms of her own internal strength. HR's martial arts is higher than Ah Zhu. Can't remember Ah Zhu's case fully - I think she is losing consciousness. On the other hand, HR is still fine initially. GJ and HR took days to reach 1Deng for treatment.

Did QQR purposely not hit HR with max power, just enough for her to reach Yideng but still require his help?

Because QQR should be much stronger than Xuanci, therefore his hit should be more damaging, and Ah Zhu even had a shield that absorbed some of Xuanci's hit.

I'm guessing a combination of Wong Yung's greater inner power (from partial 9 Yum Jen Ging inner power training; she was not Greats-level, but still far stronger than Ah Chu ever was) and her soft body armor (something else Ah Chu didn't have) helped to absorb some of the damage.
