    The Advisors Alliance 《军师联盟》 2017

the drama is based on the life of Sima Yi
Sima Yi (179 7 September 251), courtesy name Zhongda, was a general and politician of the state of Cao Wei in the Three Kingdoms period. He is perhaps best known for defending Wei from Zhuge Liang's Northern Expeditions. His success and subsequent rise in prominence paved the way for his grandson Sima Yan's founding of the Jin dynasty, which would eventually bring an end to the Three Kingdoms era. In 265 after the Jin dynasty was established, Sima Yi was posthumously honoured as Emperor Xuan of Jin with the temple name of Gaozu.

I feel bad for this drama. Princess NH from Nirvana in Fire, but not very good ratings. Maybe ppl prefer to watch bad girl ZLY, instead of good girl LT on the small screen...

If only there were subs for it :/ I am actually very interested in the 3 kingdoms. Been playing dynasty warrior ever since I was in elementary lol and yes I've also searched wiki so I know some of the real history.

The strongest scene (to me) in all of Part I:

    While this is the funniest:

I wish the producers could have completed the show in one go. I'm afraid I'm not good with waiting. By the time Part II comes along, my enthusiasm will have waned considerably.

I think the show has been completed but the tendency now is to split epics into two so they can get twice the money from broadcasting rights and also from sponsors.

Oh. I see. I hope they will air Part II soon. I am eagerly awaiting the military feats.

I am also looking forward to the coup. The Sima Yi in the show seems rather nice and decent; I wonder how the machinations and slaughtering will be portrayed.

Looks exciting! Thanks! I read that Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang met twice in battle. Two brilliant minds pitting against each other. Zhuge won the first time, while Sima managed to succeed in not engaging the second time round and won. The scene of Sima running away from a dead Zhuge should be a fun one to watch!

I watched up to ep. 20 with eng subs. So far I liked it and the way they portray sima yi in good light. Some parts were hilrious though like the part when he pretended that he was still handicapped and got caught by ji bu (I think) and so he ran back to his chair and sat down but then quickly gets up after ji bu say I already know u ain't handicapped lmao and another part I thought was funny was when sima yi's wife wanted him to help ji bu and he got jealous so he was like I'll try not to break your heart. Anyways it's a good drama and hopefully it gets subbed all the way. Now begins my wait on subs lol

I like this series too mainly because I've never seen anyone highlight Sima Yi and I've never been interested in Zhuge Liang. I like that Sima Yi is portrayed to be quite down to earth and unassuming despite his intelligence and wisdom.

I hope subbers finish this series too!

After Episode 23 or 24, the story took a bit of a turn and the events didnt feel as epic or momentous as before (to me at least). If youre there now and are waiting for English subs, the upside is that you could set your mind at ease knowing that youre not missing much. You might even wish to wait for Part II to air before resuming.
