Default The Final Battle of ROCH: Wide-Angle View?

ROCH was the story of Yeung Gor and his heroic adventures. Naturally, the spotlight was focused on him, particularly during the final battle of the story in which he rescued Gwok Seung, defeated the Golden Wheel Monk, and killed Mongke Khan. However, that battle was one of the largest in not only ROCH, but in the entire Jin Yong canon. Significantly, it was the only time in which five Greats fought together against a common enemy (an enemy army), assisted by large numbers of heroes who represented quite nearly the entire surviving supporting cast of LOCH and ROCH.

So what if we were to see a wider angle lens and got extensive views of what the other Greats and heroes were doing in the battle while Yeung Gor completed his trifecta of glory? We got glimpses of it in the actual ROCH story, but not sustained focus on the other characters (because, again, Yeung Gor was the protagonist and therefore, demanded the spotlight). It would have been interesting to get an in-depth look at how the others conducted their parts of the battle as Yeung Gor did his thing.

i assumed the other fights would be boring. It would just be GJ using his 18 palms against waves and waves of soildiers while advancing 1 feet every 10min lol. Likewise for the greats, etc.

Are we talking about showing this on film/the page.

If film that would be relatively easy to do, as the Marvel/DC films have shown how this could be done.
If the page, then it would be a lot more complex and would need to be broken up into a series of little fights focusing on one of the great level characters each.

I think it will be boring. Because the Chinese side are wuxia experts and the Mongol sides are generally foot solldiers.

Except there were even *more* Greats and heroes in the mix, plus an army of Sung soldiers and beggars. Anybody who had appeared in either LOCH or ROCH and was still alive and active in wulin at that point took part in that battle, and a wide angle lens of the entire fight would have been one hell of a spectacle.
