The majority of Jin Yong protagonists are two-way threats: not only were they powerful on offense and able to defeat nearly any enemy, but they were also highly durable and difficult to injure: Hui Juk, Kiu Fung, Gwok Jing, Yeung Gor, and Cheung Mo Gei each could tank a lot of damage and keep ticking.
The exceptions to this are Deun Yu and Ling Wu Chung. These guys were kind of glass cannon. Deun Yu was a huge offensive threat due to his 6 Mak Divine Swords, but if you managed to strike him (difficult, I know, because of his Ling Bor Mei Bo skill), he'd go down easily. Despite his skills, he was still built like a weakling scholar. Ling Wu Chung was relatively robust (a legit wulin warrior), but still something of a glass cannon: his Dook Goo 9 Swords made him a very dangerous opponent, but on the other hand, injuring him wasn't difficult at all (as we saw again and again in SPW).
