Hi, everyone! I'm new to this forum. I'm going to write a story called Unexpected Enemies and I hope everyone will enjoy it. If you have any suggestions, please tell me.This story is basically about Gilbert whose mom was killed by his evil grandpa. He grew up in an orphanage and later he was kicked out off the orphanage. He was taken in by a cop and grew up to be one himself. His own father tried to kill him because of a misunderstanding. What happen next you have to read to find out.

Introduction:

Many years ago, in Ashmonia, there lived a wealthy wicked man who had a lot of power. He would go around killing people no matter if they were children, adults, or old people. Seeing how cruel her father was, his only daughter, Lorna, was afraid that he would someday kill her son. Lorna planned to run away from her father for her son’s safety. With Don’s help, the three of them started to escape from Ashmonia to a place across from the sea where it would be harder for her father to find them. Sadly in the middle of the way, Lorna’s father found them. Knowing that they were in great danger, Lorna quickly handed her son to her friend and told him to run first. “Father won’t let us go that easily. He hates people who don’t do what he wants them to do. I’ll try to stop him. If I die, please hand Pector to Frank,” she said taking a last glance at her own son.

Don ran as fast as he could carry the baby with him. He stopped at the shore where the boat that had been arranged to sail them across the sea was. Don could hear footsteps coming toward him. Hurriedly, he jumped onto the boat and started to sail. Lorna’s father stood on the shore with his gun trying to aim at the baby. With his last bullet, he fired his gun. The bullet hit right at Don’s back as he blocked for the baby. “I hope you will find your father. I can no longer live anymore,” he murmured and fell dead on the boat.

           

While that thing happened, on the other side of the sea, there lived a couple who longed to have a baby. The husband was so disappointed and depressed that one day he left without a word good bye to his wife. Two days after her husband deported, she found out that she was pregnant. She was so sorrow about her husband leaving that she became sicker every single day. At last, she gave birth to a lovely daughter, but then she died after that.

Chapter 1

Eight years later, a little boy quietly climbed out off the window of Blossom Orphanage with a mischievous smile on his face. “Gilbert, what are we going to do at this time at night?” John asked. John was a year older than Gilbert. His parents got killed in a car accident and no one in his relatives would want to take care of him, so they sent him to this horrible place. He was a chubby boy, and was very tall for his age. Gilbert, who was short and always had a guilty impression on his face, loved John very much. He pulled John closer to him and whispered, “Don’t you think it’s a little too quiet tonight? Won’t it be better if it gets louder?” John shook his head frightfully.

“We’ve gotten in trouble a lot already. Don’t…..” Before he could finish his sentence, screams came out of the orphanage. “What’s that horrible smell?” Someone screamed. Gilbert laughed listening to the screams inside. “Did you put a skunk in there?” John asked. Gilbert couldn’t answer because he was laughing too hard. He nodded his head instead.

After everyone was quieted down, Gilbert and John went back to their beds. A while later, a skinny woman came in to find out who was the person who put the skunk in the girls’ room. She had a boy in her mind already who she knew very sure would know the answer to it. She walked directly to Gilbert’s bed and shook him up.

“It’s time to wake up already, Aunt Morian?” he asked innocently.

“Don’t pretend to be innocent in front of me. You’re the one who put it in.”

“Put what in?”

“The skunk! Why are you torturing me? If I haven’t found you in that boat, you would’ve died already. Now tell me the truth. Did you put it in or not?”

“I wouldn’t do a thing like that,” he lied. He hated whenever Aunt Morian reminded him how she saved him. It always made him felt guilty, and his eyes would then betray him.

“Go outside and stay there for the rest of the night. Next time, tell your eyes to look at me when you said those innocence words,” she said. She stomped out off the room and banged the door closed. The loud noise the door made woke all the boys up.


   


The wind was blowing strongly outside as though it would destroy everything it encounters. As Gilbert reluctantly stepped outside, a breeze of wind went through his spines making the little poor boy shivered. He tucked his hands deeper into his pockets to keep them warm in the cold weather. Oh, how he hope his parents were right there with him.

Suddenly, he heard tiny voices coming out from the forest that was located in the orphanage’s backyard. His curiosity took over him, so he started for the direction of the voices. As he stepped deeper into the forest, shadows of trees dancing and leaves swirling around him. Not very far from him, he could see two people talking to each other. Gilbert had to admit to himself that the woman was very beautiful, but her cold eyes could scare everyone away. Silently, he hid behind a tree for safety. “I’ll give you anything if you tell me where that heartless Ben is,” the woman begged.

“I can’t! Just forget about him, Moonlight. You’ll be better off without him,” the man replied. His face was coarse, but his voice was very soft.

“Who says I need him? I just want to kill him for deserting Hatred and me. After I gave birth to Hatred, he never came to see if the baby is a boy or a girl. Now Hatred is eight years old already and she doesn’t know what her own father looks like. I’ll bring his dead body back home to see my daughter,” she sobbed.

The man walked closer and put a comforting hand on her shoulder. “Just think of him as a dead person,” he said. The tall muscular man then pulled his hand back and walked away sadly while shaking his head. “I can’t! As long as I’m still alife, he’ll get what he deserves,” she yelled after him angrily. Her eyes started to grow colder and more evil as though she would kill anyone who came across her way. Gilbert was so scared, he let out a scream and tried to run, but his legs were shaking too much. He collapsed onto the hard surface of the ground.

Before he could stand up again, Moonlight took hold of his collar and pulled him off the ground. Slowly, she pulled out a knife in her pocket and raised it up ready to stab him any moment. Gilbert struggled trying to get free from her grip, but it was useless. He was choking. “Please…don’t …..I know where Ben is,” the eight-year old boy lied. The woman’s face soon relaxed a little and after a few thoughts to herself, she let him back down onto the ground. An evil smile appeared on her smooth lovely face. “Tell me where he is, little boy,” she said coldly.
“I just know the way,” he spoke firmly. He knew that if he told her where Ben was, but of course it would be a lie, he would get kill right at the spot. His only way to escape from this woman was to be alife as long as he could until he finds a way to escape. “Lead the way,” she said more softly this time.

Who is this weird woman? Is she the one who husband have gone away? I thought she was dead. Update soon.
