Default How much time would it take for Zhang Sanfeng to master Qian Kun Da Nuo Yi?

It took Zhang Wuji pretty much a couple of hours to master Qian Kun Da Nuo Yi. How much time would it take Zhang Sanfeng to master the same if he ever had that opportunity and why?

It took Wuji 3 hours and 14 minutes. Zhang Sanfeng is exactly 1.07 times better than Wuji, so it would take Zhang Sanfeng 3 hours and 28 minutes.

You didn't factor in his meridians are slightly wider due to practicing Chongyang Wuji Gong which lets him train in internal arts 12% faster so the time should be even faster.

No, it would take Z3F 3 days.

He would have to ponder about the underlying principles of QKDNY.

Then he would take another 99 days and create his own version of Taiji Da Nuo Yi.

Cheung 3 Fung might be able to do it relatively quickly because the underlying principles of Keen Kwun Dai Loi Yee and Tai Chi share some similarities.

does ZSF's inner energy high enough to learn QKDNY faster?

Should be...as it wasn't any weaker than Cheung Mo Gei's 9-Yeung power.

I actually think it would be the opposite. His mastery of Taiji would make it very hard for him to adopt something similar but still different like QKDNY. This is similar to how multi-lingual people would have the most trouble with the similar sounds in languages as they tend to favor the pronunciation of their more "native" tongue. Eventually his bias would pull him back to Taiji. The best case scenario is for him to merge the 2 arts into one, which means he still wouldn't master QKDNY to the max like ZWJ would. In revert, we can see that even though learning Taiji takes ZWJ to another level in martial arts, and most would argue that Taji is deeper than QKDNY in philosophy, in the most critical moments, he still uses QKDNY.

Another thing is at 100 years old, its really hard to learn new things. At that point, you just try to perfect what you already know. A 15 year old Zhang Junbao with some basics in 9Yang and learning QKDNY for the first time would be a different story.

I do wonder about that. Z3F's inner power was said to be incredibly pure and refined, whilst ZWJ's was described as like an endless torrent. ZWJ performed many feats of outrageous power (e.g. sword-fighting with a boulder, smashing people through walls, kicking trees down etc.) that I have a hard time picturing Z3F doing. Indeed, Z3F said that he never understood how mere human flesh could be trained to the point of doing such things. Z3F may have better quality inner power (i.e. maximum efficiency - just enough at the right time and place), but ZWJ may well have more in quantity instead (inefficient, showy, but overkill).
