Default GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) Wuxia Theme Song Singers?

In your opinion, whom do you rate as the greatest singers of wuxia theme songs (movies or television) of all time?

Concur. Half of the greatest wuxia theme hits were his, and probably the other half were Adam Cheng's.

She'll never be nominated because of her somewhat weak voice, but by heck the singer of the ROCH 83 songs really fitted the mood of the story.

Besides Shanghai Beach and LOCH, what are their other collaborations?

THE BUND (SHANGHAI BEACH) is not a duet song. It's a solo song, and its main performer was Frances Yip Lai Yee.

It was brilliant to team them up for the suite of LOCH '82 soundtrack songs, and it's a wonder that TVB and EMI didn't team them up for another suite of wuxia soundtrack music. Johnny Yip and Frances Yip did a great job with the SMILING PROUD WANDERER (1984) songs, even though the TV series was kind of weak. Tony Leung and Anita Mui also did great with the HSDS '86 soundtrack, which confoundingly, was never released commercially as a record.

When it comes to SOD/SPW, the one that stands out is still the James Wong composed Sam Hui version from the Swordsman movie.

You can tell when a version is definitive. All the remakes (and even games) even now in the 2010s-20 are still ripping off 铁血丹心 and 沧海一声笑.

Tony Leung is a rubbish singer, especially for wuxia. The HSDS soundtrack would have been better had it been Anita Mui by herself.

He wasn't popular as a singer, but for some reason i enjoy this song & the series.
