Special forces soldiers should have an advantage. Part of their training involves abseiling down cliffs. Some at least should fall whilst abseiling, and at the bottom of their fall they will encounter a cave. Once they train in the lost manual they find within the cave, their fighting ability will improve dramatically.

And in DGSD, JY using the narrator voice said no martial artist can stand against 7-8 soldiers.

Its hard for us sitting in front of computers to comprehend this bit. I know a special forces commander who told me he saw 2 of his 'best in training supersoldiers' get killed in front of his eyes because they couldn't pull the trigger when a live human was the target. Given his background, I have no reason to doubt him.

OT: i have heard that some special forces use very sick animals as live targets. After these animals are shot, they are passed to the medical doctors to operate on them to see whether these animals can be saved. Cruel?

Default ONE "sword fodder" wulin sect flunky vs. ONE imperial soldier

If just ONE typical wulin sword fodder flunky (e.g. no-name, low level members of wulin sects who are a dime a dozen and are typically KO'd *by* the dozen at the hands of the main hero, even when the main hero is still very young and nowhere close to elite martial arts status yet) went up against just ONE typical imperial soldier (whichever dynasty you like), who would most likely win, and how long would the fight last?
