Default What was the container for the Corpse-Dissolving Acid made of?

The Corpse-Dissolving Acid that Eunuch Hoi gave to Wai Siu Bo was so potent that it could completely disintegrate a human body within minutes. That's potent stuff. What kind of material was the container made of that it wasn't also disintegrated by the acid?

Most likely a thick glass container because it does not react with the acid, and it is also nonporous, which prevents the acid from leaking or seeping through.

Adaptations typically portray it as an opaque ceramic container (white with decorative blue flowers painted on it). Since acid dissolves teeth, I doubt it was ivory.

The acid was stored in powdered form. As long as it didn't touch blood, it was harmless, and could be stored in any old container. You could even hold it in your hand without coming to any harm (as long as it wasn't bleeding).

When it contacts blood though, it becomes a deadly flesh-eating acid. The acid is self-reproducing - any flesh it dissolves becomes more of the acid, so it sets off a chain-reaction that lasts until all flesh and bone is consumed (more like a virus than a chemical, actually). The resulting pool of acid can be dried to become the original powder. So as long as you never allow yourself to run out completely, you can easily have an everlasting supply!

This stuff sound hella cool. Even James Bond and Batman would be envious of this particular item.

Y'know...given the acid's property of needing blood to activate it, it's pretty much useless if you want to use it to corrode a metal lock or something unless you pour some blood on the lock first.

Strictly speaking, it isn't even acid - apparently OYF created it from the venom of a dozen venomous snakes and insects, so it is a type of modified animal venom. Venom is largely composed of proteins and enzymes, so its unlikely to eat into metal. The pools of liquid that were the remains of WXB's victims generally just sat on top of whatever surface they were on without eating into it.

Mind you, the substance is pretty useless as venom - the whole point of venom is to subdue other animals to eat them. Any creature that possessed a venom that dissolves its victims would quickly starve!

Acidic or basic, sounds like this stuff is pretty useless on inorganic matter.
