What was Emperor K'ang Hsi's plan for Wai Siu Bo if he found him again?

After the conclusion of DOMD, Emperor K'ang Hsi spent years searching for Wai Siu Bo to no avail. Despite sending his best people nationwide to find his old friend, decades of search were fruitless and the emperor never saw Wai Siu Bo again in his lifetime.

If the emperor actually found WSB, however, what were his plans for his old crony? Was he going to invite WSB to return to the imperial court to serve him again? FINALLY lop his head off for disobeying and deceiving him? Throw him a party and extend to him an open invitation to come to the palace to visit whenever WSB felt like it?
