Which got me thinking how other Jin Yong heroes would have acted during the attack? Any thoughts?

Interesting topics.

For me the protagonist who could solve the problems with peace in other Jin Yong novel might be (after learning with FQY) LHC.

The 2nd best is YG, even though he is too tricky to solve all the problems without any unneccesary fight and death.

Let see with other protagonist:

1. GJ, end of ROCH GJ might have a chance since he is already more mature for he already become a general for some decades. LOCH GJ will need a lot of HR assistance.
2. DY, King Duan Yu at the end of DGSD might have bigger chance, but Prince DY will not have any chance. He only think about WYY all the time. But if WYY is there in Bright summit, the chance is slightly higher.
3. XZ. He could stop the fight with his huge power but will not solve the hatred between Ming Clan and other 6 clans
4. XF. Most of the 6 wulin clans will die like what he did in Heroes Gathering Manor, He is truly a great fighter but i doubt he is a good leader and problem solver.
5. WXB. All 6 wulin clan fighters men will die, while the young girls from Ermei will be his wife.

Frankly speaking, wishy washy and inconsistent 20-21 years old ZWJ doing a great job in bright summit for a youngster who lives 10 years in lone island, 5 years, living with apes, almost 0 external martial arts, and holds big anger to avenge his parent's death.

I don't think any *single* fighter, regardless of how powerful he or she is, is going to get through ALL of the Shaolin Temple. Nobody has ever had to fight the entire temple before

I mean all of best fighters from the 6 Big Sects since Wuji only defeat the strongest of every sects..

I add WXB just for fun. But i'm pretty sure this cunning man will find a way beat all the strongest of 6th wulin fighter, for example divide and rule method and using his gun.

Wei Xiu Bao main power is the great Qing dynasty Banner army. If he went to Bright Summit to face against all the clans in Jianghu, at least one Qing banner army will follow him to the summit.

Nope, it's plot armor. Actually, it's luck and cunning. WXB did much more than any protagonists in any of JY's other novels when it comes to war/prevention of war. He helped the Russian princess practically take over Russia. He helped Kang Xi by preventing several forces from invading China. I don't think 6 measly sects would be too much of a challenge for him. He'll just talk "convincing" rubbish to make the 6 sects to stop fighting.
