Default Is Jiu Yang Sen Gong the strongerst Shaolin Inner Art?

Well, I really curious about 9 Yang really. In HSDS, it claims to be a very high level inner art that comparable to 9 Nin. And at the end of ROCH, we witness that it was stolen from Shaolin. So basically, it should be the strongest inner art that Shaolin possessed.

But, if the 9 Yang was really the strongest Shaolin inner, how can Shaolin got bullied in DGSD? And which is more powerful, between 9 Yang and Yi Gin Ging, and of course, the stolen Sanskirt text that stolen from Shaolin in DGSG?

I think Yijin Jing is better than 9 Yang since 9 Yang only the best in Trilogy while Yijin Jing the greatest throughout JY universe..

But if Shaolin has the most powerful inner art like Yi Jinjing and 9 Yang, how could they got bullied in DGSD. One Qiao Feng / Xiao Feng could even beat their elders. And the only OP character from Shaolin is the Sweeper Monk.

You can't become powerful only by "manual" but you also need "talent" that's why no one from 7 Quanzhen Masters or 7 Wudang Heroes ever reach WCY or Z3F level though they learn advance martial arts/skills from legendary master since they lack of "talent"..

Yik Gun Ging had one crucial defect: people couldn't learn it if they actively tried to. It could only be learned by those who had no desire to learn it.

Actually that's not quite right. In ROCH, several of WCY's students have reach his level of martial art. But the problem is that Guo Jing, Hong Qi Gong, etc have reach the level that far more superior than Wang. So, it is not only about talent, but also the Martial Art. Because even the average talent Guo Jing can become one of the strongest martial artist in the story.

That's apply to Shaolin, too. We can say that people who have reach the elder status in Shaolin should have learn a great deal of Shaolin Martial Arts. But they can't beat Qiao Feng who only master 26 Subduing Dragon Palms and Dog Beating Sticks. Shouldn't they very underwhelming, for the place where the martial arts coming from?

No one of Quanzhen 7 Masters ever reach WCY also for GJ he is "main hero" in his novel so he have "plot armor" and as for Shaolin no one from Shaolin Xuan generation monks ever reach XF level though they learn 72 Shaolin Skills which mean my theory above is true since you not only need "book" but also "talent" to become formidable master..

However, Jin Yong always wanted to keep Wang Chongyang in the same level as the post-16 years Greats or even slightly better.

9 Yang internals has not yet been established during DGSD and i still believe YJJ is the best internals cultivation from Shaolin.
The problems are those martial artist who practiced Shaolin internal arts can not fully live in Buddhist way, they still couldn't get out from secular issues, such as wulin conflict and even Shaoling leader still involved in love issues like Xuan Chi. Only Sweeper monk did it.

And based on the latest revision, I doubt 9 Yang is still originally Shaolin internals cultivation.
But, for those martial artist still involved in secular life, 9 Yang might become still better option than YJJ.

Well, that's not what I read from ROCH novel long time ago. I didn't know which revision it was. But, the author clearly wrote that some of Quan Zhen students have reach their master (Wang Chong Yang) level. And every time the old 5 Greats appear for the first time in the story, the Author wrote that those people have surpass Wang's level of Martial Art / Inner Art.

Well, that's reasonable as WCY has already dead. So he couldn't become better in martial art.

If we use logic then logically The 4 Greats indeed surpass WCY but JY never want it also if The 7 Masters in ROCH really at WCY level they would easily annihilate LMC or even JLFW but in contrast JY say that even The Mongolian Mercenaries better than 7 Masters (individually)..

Obviously, in editions 2 and 3 Jin Yong changed his mind about this, and wanted Central Divinity to be around the same level as the old Greats even post 16 years.
