- Discussion: the confusion of one person multiplied by the number present.
- Discussion Forum: the place where everybody posts, nobody reads and everybody disagrees later on.

You guys ever watch that episode of the old STAR TREK when the Enterprise crew got sent to an alternate universe where they met their evil twins?
I'm getting that feeling right now.![]()
I wonder how they did it. Any programming expert here can tell me?![]()
Actually it's pretty simple. In computer programming, there's a structure called a stack that stores data in a particular way so that the first token (a data unit) you take out of the stack would be the last thing you put in. For example, if you "push" or place the following letters in a stack in order:Originally posted by kidd

a, h, t, e, h, d, c
When you start taking them out of the stack (or pop), then you would get the reverse order:
c, d, h, e, t, h, a.
That's how the site reversed the letters-order and the structure of the site. Basically they tossed all of the source file into a stack and read it out one token at a time. (For backward lines, they throw another stack inside the stack and repeat as necessary.)
Now you just have to write a function that flips picture files and you are done.
If you'll notice, somethings are flipped completely while others only word orders and not letters are flipped, and in one instance, the date, it is not flipped at all.![]()

春花秋月几时了,
往事知多少?
小楼昨夜又东风,
故国不堪回首明月中.
雕栏玉砌应犹在,
只是朱颜改.
问君能有几多愁,
恰似一江春水向东流.

the date is clientside javascript. it'd take some more thoughts to flip that over.Originally posted by Moinllieon
