Where was QQR?

In LOCH, from the recounting of ZBT, WCY faked death to trick OYF and destroyed his martial arts, and within five years of sheer determination and dedication, OYF managed to regain his Ha Mo Gong.

But during that five year period, OYF should have been the weakest of the greats, and QQR, having the ambition to get rid of all competition before the 2nd Wah tournament, why didn't he storm up to White Camel Mountain and dispose of OYF, instead of going after Reverend YD (DZX) by killing YG's son?

Maybe QQR didn't know about it. It' probably not not something OYF would want to spead across wuling about.

I believe QQR was hard in training. He probably did not bother with outside news until sometime in LOCH when he was confident enough to venture out again when he thought he had matched the Greats.

although he was injured so badly at that time, I dont think QQR could easily beat him, not to mention his Poisonous skill.

If QRR's level were always linearly proximate to the greats, then it probably won't be too hard to kill OYF at his weakest times. Of course since Camel Mountain is OYF's poisonese headquarter, it probably would not be advisible to charge in with no discretion.
