Not this time. Years ago, Vancouver/Richmond was a treasure trove for getting stuff unavailable in the States (for whatever reason), but with the rise of Yesasia.com and other sites, getting stuff isn't as hard as it used to be.

Yeah, I'm mostly interested in the out-of-print stuff from the 1970s - 1990s. During the 1990s, Crown Records reissued many of their old 1970s and 1980s albums on CD. Those were available at Malmusic as recently as the year 2000, but haven't seen them since.

Some of those Crown albums are rare. I picked up one 2 CD set a while back. Crown had the best recording and their CD's sound great.

Their production values have always been extraordinarily high for a small, independent record company based in Hong Kong. Honestly, their output on vinyl during the 1970s and 1980s often sounded better (I'm talking about recordings rather than songs) than comparable products released by Hong Kong artists through larger international companies such as EMI or Warner.

I have a few Adam Cheng and Roman Tam albums on CD (reissues of 1970s LPs), including the HEAVEN SWORD & DRAGON SABRE '78/LUK SIU FUNG III and THE ROMANTIC SWORDSMAN soundtracks. The jewel of my collection, however, is Sandra Sin soundtrack album for THE FATAL IRONY (1990s CD reissue of 1974 LP).

Crown stuff easily sounded better than EMI and Warner. Polygram was the worst. They are such a crab shoot, but most of their stuff sounded bad. I have this Crown SACD of various artists and it sounds so damn good in SACD.

Which series are you looking for? You can try malmusic.com but that place is a rip and I refuse to buy there. You also have to pay canadian taxes there too. The TVB eShop use to have it, but they closed down and they were also ripping ppl off.

I'm buying a series from 2000 and I don't want a crappy cover from Taiseng.

Havent been paying attention to releases within the last 1-2 month... just looked around on Yesasia's TVB DVD section and looks like I haven't missed anything.

I see on the new releases section that 'Ups and downs in the Sea of Love' and 'War of the in Laws' coming out... fine... they are newer series so I expected that..... then for old series, I see 'Angel's Call'.... okay... random but kind of expected. THEN what makes me fume is seeing another random, unknown, unpopular release... 'A Loving Spirit' starring Lawrence Ng.
