Who would win a duel between Yang Guo and Ling Hu Chong?

Note: Wrong spelling of Yang Guo's name before so had to edit...

As much as I like LHC, Yang Guo would clean his clock

but I think, Xixing Dafa and Dugu Jiujian will be good enough against the Heavy Sword and all his skills

so my opinion is : Linghu Chong

by the way, did Yang Guo actually use and train his Hama Gong anymore after he learnt all the other stuff??

There is no comparison. YG would wipe out LHC. Not only is YG's internal power way higher than LHC, but his Heavy Iron Sword technique is much more advanced than DG9S. LHC is a great swordsman, but he didn't fare too well against people who had higher internal power than him ie.Ren Woxing, Yue Buqun. and even then RW and YB shouldn't even be a match for YG.

    Cool

I think as long as YG use sword, LHC will find out the weak point of his skill.
What is the point comparing though...sigh..

I highly doubt that. YG learned a more advance form of swordmanship from the Condor than LHC from his great-uncle. I just read Lanny Lin's translation of this part and DGKB said "Simplicity brings Superiority". So while YG sword moves might not be as fancy as LHC, the moves are superior. So, the moves should have no weaknesses.

Heavy Sword is without stance. It is developed later than Dugu 9 Swords and it is definitely better than DG9 is some ways. Xixing Dafa dont work on people who has very powerful inner strength. Yang Guo will beat LHC real easily with the plus factor that there's a decline of martial arts after DGSD's time.

I'm not too convinced about that. But it's pretty much impossible to really say.

Where did you get that idea? It works fine on people with superior inner chi. It didn't work on the Shaolin Abbot because he had Yi Jin Jing for protection.

Anyway, these sort of topics tend to go nowhere. But I'll put in my brief 2 cents.

LHC is not too much better than Chong Xu(head of Wu Dang in SOD). ZWJ is A LOT better than Chong Xu, given that he has much superior inner strength and general mastery of the Tai Chi Sword. Zhang WuJi and Yang Guo are roughly at the same level(even though I give a slight edge to ZWJ). Still, they're not too far apart. So from the above comparisons, Yang Guo wins.

Meh said ZWJ is better than Yang Guo.. but oh well, YG GJ same thing. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I think ZWJ is super underrated. He's really a very high skilled person.. but it just seems that he's weak since he's always hesitant or appears scared while fighting.

ZWJ's never scared when he fights. It's just that he doesn't like hurting people. So his fightng style is more to make the opponent back off than to beat the crap out of them. This makes him a pretty lousy fighter.

But speaking purely in terms of skill/inner power, ZWJ is among the very best in the JY world.

He always seems pulled-back while fighting. Too bad.. he's a very nice person in terms of both personality and martial arts.. just that he's a bit wishy-washy.

i think that yang guo's heavy sword technique could easilly defeat DuGu 9 swords easilly. DuGu 9 swords requires that the opponent has a stance in his/her technique. the heavy sword technique has no stance, it consists of hacks, slashes, and stabs. basically whatever is conventional. therfore the heavy sword technique would destroy DuGu 9 swords. as to that energy sucking kung fu that LHC had, i don't think that he could he close enough to Yang Guo to use it.

I agreed. Think of ZWJ as Hui Juk and the similarity will start flowing, esp the part of high inner energy and inability to finish fights. I refer to the two Yue Ming elders.

Without doubt it would be Yeung Gor...
I mean I know that everyone likes LHC, but you can't really compare them as they fight. Sure LHC has DuGu 9 Swords, XiXinDaFa and the qi boost thing he was given from the Abbot. But Yeung Gor has his iron sword and love palm. The iron sword is actually what DuGu later mastered, after his own DuGu 9 Swords. I think that Dung Fang Bu Bai wouldn't stand much of a chance against Yeung Gor either...

Are you saying which novels? The stories are Return of the Condor Heroes (this is in cantonese: Sun Dew Hup Lur) and Xiao Au Jiang Hu. If you're asking about the series, you can't really say which one.

Of course Kwok Jing. Don't even bother comparing.
