1. Smart and cute types like Huang Rong, Zhao Min. Not enough of these girls!
2. Girls who don't mind if you like other girls, like Sueng Yee or Xiao Zhao. Mind you, there are definitely not enough girls of this variety!

I'd marry Madam Ma.
The one played by Christy Chung that is.
I'd marry either Luo Bing from Book and the Sword (if she wasn't already married that is) or Si Shi from Yueh Maiden for looks....
Ren Ying Ying for personality, looks, and charm....
But if I really had to pick one, I'd say none...I don't want to marry any Jin Yong Characters....
For all those who are curious if I "jumped" ship to a new forum...the answer is NO. I'm still with my original one... I just came here to bring up your ratings because a particular person told me so.....
The Man = Ratings.

I'd rather like the little countess in The Deer and The Cauldron. Her first encounter with Wei Xiao Bo is hilarious. Why do I pick her? because she can blush. She's probably the blushing champion of all Jin Yong characters.
If I were a gal, I would pick Linghu Chong. definitely not Guo Jing. Imagine talking to the guy...not very stimulating. I'm not surprised nobody picked Chen Jialuo. I mean he can't even distinguish a girl from a guy.
下 雨 天
I would marry Xiao Yan Zi (Vicki Zhao) from Huan Zhu Ge Ge cuz she's very funny, energetic, outgoing, lively, cute, loving, emotional, sweet, smart, sexy, beautiful.. and ran out of other adjectives to describe her attractive personality..
My second choice would be Huang Rong from LOCH cuz she's smart, cute, pouts, caring, devoted, sensitive, love and understanding..
whatever shishi, lol Why don't you just say Chrissy as Tieu Yen Tu.

What do you think that the ideal mate for the OTHER sex would be (ie, guys choose who they think girls would consider to be perfect, and vice versa for girls).
Personally, I think the ideal husband for a girl would definitely be Huang Yao Shi. Extremely educated, very much refined, devoted to his wife and children, an excellent flute player, good at calligraphy, good martial arts, and, if we can use Huang Rong's cooking as a basis, an excellent chef as well. An all around perfect gentleman, who you would -never- even have to think about the possibility of infidelity.

Looks like the best, but could be the worst ! He's only that good if your intelligence is on par with his. If you can't understand anything he says (and I bet only one or two can...) watch out for his eccentricity !
RWX, why do you think we, being guys, can think of an ideal husband for girls ? I was about to write something then I realised that it seemed like I was choosing an ideal husband for myself

See, that's supposed to be the entertaining part. We get to see what the opposite sexes think that each other would consider ideal

If you go by the novel, not by the adaptation, yes, I will say that he is a good candidate for an ideal husband. Remember when he was lying on the bed with Princess Cheung Ping? He did not take advantage of her. Instead he put his sword between their bodies so that his body would not come into direct contact with hers.
Guo Jing > Yang Guo. Book it, you morons!

Plenty. Half of them, as you have noticed, are gay and the other half are called "nerds".
Seriously, there are still gentlemen like that, but they aren't celebrities so you don't know about them.
The ideal husband IMO would be Guo Jing. He is the most loyal and caring man a woman can find.

I'd take Cheung Dan Fung from Ping Cung Hup Ying (LYS).
He's handsome, skillful, intelligent, patriotic, good at art, comes from a good family and rich (OK, for some ppl this is important), romantic, and loves In Lui VERY VERY VERY MUCH....
back w/ a vengeance ^_^
Why everytime there is a faithful guy he will be considered gay? Yuen Sing Chi did not take advantage of Princess Cheung Ping because he was being faithful to his girlfriend Qing-Qing.
Yes, Guo Jing will be another good candidate.

It's because you can RARELY find a guy that doesn't wanna take advantage of a girl. Probably 1 out of 100 or even thousand.

-It's beauty that captures your attention; personality which captures your heart.
Oh yeah, and Ren Wo Xing, I think you need to change the title a little bit. It reads like this :» Ideal Mate; Guys post about Guys, Girls about Guys."
Me: I would choose Yang Guo (So smart and handsome!
