Default Infernal Affairs remake entitled 'The Departed'

    Source: http://www.cinecon.com/news.php?id=0407237

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Matt Damon will join Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese's "The Departed," a remake of the Hong Kong action film "Infernal Affairs."

The remake, which is being headed up at Warner Bros., revolves around a gangster who infiltrates the police department and a cop infiltrates the gangs at the same time. The two find out that a mole is in each organization and race to find each other's identity.

The U.S. version will take place in Boston and instead of Hong Kong gangs, the gang in this version will be the Mafia. Damon would portray the mob's mole, while DiCaprio plays the undercover cop.
Apparently Leonardo will play Tony's role while Matt will take on Andy's.

    Cool...

Are there any famous teen boy actor out there that are well known?

Mostly you only hear the teen girl actress... but hardly for boy actors...

Yeah, I mentioned that two weeks ago at the Movies forum, before some gal went to bury my thread by resurrecting those long dead Johnny Depp threads. Ooooh, thanks a lot. Hmph.

hmm, i hope this movie won't lose the theme of the Wu Jian Dao. Isn't it based on a buddhist saying of continuious hell?

They are just adapting from its screenplay, not practically remaking the entire film. So I believe they will keep the whole undercover cop/mole thriller thingie, but not bring over EVERY SINGLE THING of the original.

After all, I think in the end, this will become more of a Martin Scorsese gangster film.

So I don't expect this to be release anytime soon...

Wasn't Brad Pitt's name being thrown around with this project some time ago? Is he still one of the producers?

Wow, I'm more interested in one of the links below this story. Darren Aronofsky wants to make a "Watchmen" movie? I wonder how that'll turn out.
    This sig is only temporary.

Yeah, I guess so. Considering that most movie news site has already reported that all Martin Scorsese, Leo and Matt are attached to this project already, I'm sure nothing will happen, and Brad Pitt's gonna weeeeeep for wasting his money on something that wasn't going to get made.

Oh, that was sarcasm, by the way.

*sigh* You undestimate Martin Scorsese. I'm sure he's capable of making something powerful.

Besides, what the heck, you really expected them to make a frame by frame remake? No way. Different culture, different tastes. I'm sure there will be many changes in this one. They are just taking the whole mole vs mole element, I believe.

I think there are quite a few well know teen boy actors. or guys who are still young enough to play a boy. umm chad micheal murray comes up, or how about the guy shia lebof(SP), i think those are a few well know teen boys but ur right there really isnt a lot of focus on the teen boy actors as much as on the teen girl actresses.

Sigh...somehow, I can't seem to see Leonardo and Matt Damon in Andy Lau and Tony Leung's role. They both looked to clean shaven. I always think that Johnny Depp would fit the role of Tony Leung and Nicolas Cage will fit the role for Andy Lau's role.

If we want to relive Face/Off again, we can have John Travolta as Andy Lau and Nicholas Cage as Tony Leung.

Matt Damon is ugly. They should have considered people like Orlando Bloom or Chad Michael. >.<

Johnny Depp could play Anthony Wong's part.

Robert De Niro should play Anthony Wong's part, thus making this ANOTHER collab between Bob and Martin!

    Orlando Bloom? Ew.
