Default The 10 Tigers Of Canton

Does anyone have any information and history about the 10 Tigers of Canton?

I've been trying to look for sites on them but I cant seem to find any.

I know that Wong Kei Ying (Huang Qiying) was one of them.

Thanks, any help will be great.

It was actually Lin Fucheng (student of Tid Kiu Sam) who taught Wong Fei Hung the Iron Wire Form.

    To Divine Condor:

    The Ten Tigers were:

    1. Wong Yan Lum: master of Tibetan Lhama Style kungfu, founder of Valiant Boxing (Xiajiaquan)

    2. Tid Kiu Sam: master of Iron Wire Boxing

    3. Wong Kei Ying: master of Hung Kuen, father of the famous Wong Fei Hung

    4. So Hak Fu: master of Black Tiger Boxing

    5. Beggar So: master of Drunken Boxing

    6. Iron Finger Chan

    7. Lai Yan Chiu

    8. Tam Chai Hok

    9. Wong Ching Ho

    10. Chow Tai

    Thanks for the help.

Did Wong Fei Hung really beat 30 guys up?

I also heard that Fong Sai Yuk (Fang Shi Yu) and Hung Hei Kwoon were part of "The 10 Tigers of Shaolin". Do you have any information on these guys?

    Thanks again..

Wong Fei Hund did beat up 30 people, that that was with a pole. Not sure if his enemies had weapons.

I think there were "Old 10 Tigers of Canton" and New 10 Tigers of Canton".

    Am I right?
    Swordsmanship’s Ultimate Ideal

Swordsmanship’s first achievement is the unify of man and sword. Once this unity is attained, even a blade of grass can be a weapon

The second achievement is when the sword exists in one's heart, when absent from one's hand. One can strike an enemy at 100 paces even with bare hands

Swordsmanship’s ultimate achievement is the absence of the sword in both hand and heart. The swordsman is at peace with the rest of the world

    hello,

must tell you that the best wong fei hung was the one made by wong yuet san more than 20s years ago in the early '80s---called siu nin wong fei hung...

it was produced during those days when there was a productiuon house called lai tek--or RTV...the predecessor of atv...

this same company also produced the palace heroes..tai loi kuan ying...flying guillotine and all that stuff during yung cheng reign with lui sei liong...

trust me this wong fei hung series is the beginning and the end of all the wong fei hung series... jet li move aside...

i am waiting eagerly for this series to be rereleased...
