Default Chess game in Demi gods and Semi devils

Xu zhu by luck was able to find the solution to the Chess game in Demi gods and semi devils. Do you think anyone else in the Jin Yong novels would be able to find the solution also? Huang Yao shi maybe? or Huang Rong?

It seems like the better you are at chess and the more intelligent you are, you wouldn't be able to so I don't think so. Unless they think out of the box very often.

This thread About that Chinese Chess Game in DGSD has nothing to do with your question, but just in case you are interested to read.

Anyway, back to your topic, just a hunch, but SPT might be able to solve it. No supporting evidence, of course, just a hunch.

it was a matter of ego i think. those with strong desires would fall into a illusion. those with pure hearts would find the way through the trap. duan yu did not solve it but he did not fall into an illusion.

    Wei Xiaobao.

He'd intentionally try to lose so he could stop wasting time with boring people and go gambling or hitting on chicks instead. Except that his intention would actually get him the win.

In the 2003 China adaptation, it was Duan Yanqing who told Xu Zhu where to place his pieces (out of gratitude for having saved his life when he was going to kill himself during his turn), so it seems that you need to know your chess. I'm not sure if the novel had it as blind luck, or whether Xu Zhu had guidance.

In the novel, the first move (the most crucial one) was out of blind luck and made by Xu Zhu. From then on, Duan Yanqing directed him.
