How disappointed and surprised I was to only receive 1 tape this week! It was so freaking short! But I guess I should be "happy" because this means VOH II will not end for 3 more weeks because it seems like they're going to continue to release 1 tape a week until the end. Besides, I'm in no rush to finish the series anyways.... As for why it only released 1 tape, it's because Tai Seng is currently releasing 6 series and apparently, they want to release more tapes for the other series first.


This week's tape was ok.

Poor Nancy! It turns out that Woo Fung never liked her! Haha, he only liked the babies. It was funny how Nancy said "Let me ask my husband first." Haha. She looked so embarrassed but she wanted to save face. The conclusion to her storyline with Woo Fung had a few laughs.

Finally, I get to see Linda's beautiful face and charm grace the screen again! It's so sad how she's all worried because her birthday is approaching. It was funny how she tried to pair up her uncle with Nancy. Haha. It was so cute how she accepted Sze Mo's car and then gave it up for donation. Haha. Linda really cares about everyone else but herself. I guess if you "know" you're going to die, you just don't think about yourself and try to help those people that you love (even if you have to sacrifice) before you die. It was funny how she bought all those lottery tickets but was afraid to see if she won for fear that she would have a heart attack. Haha. Anyways, Linda was really cute and lighted up the screen, as usual.

By the way, the reason why there was a rather long preaching against smoking in these episodes is because Hong Kong's Health Department paid VOH to advertise for an anti-smoking environment in the workplace. Hehe, it was kinda funny actually. Shows how influential and popular the show is for the government to pay them to advertise! I mentioned this before but awhile back, VOH II advertised for everyone to go out on 9/12 to vote for the elections and that election had the highest voter turnout in the history of Hong Kong.

Anyways, can't wait for the next tape next week.

Aww... you've been waiting for weeks now.

Same with me, I'm 6 episodes from finishing the series and usually the distributor releases 4 episodes a week, but now... only 2 episodes. So short!! I need more VOH each week.. hehe. But I guess it's good because I'm not in a rush to finish VOH anyways.

no wonder you can write a thorough synopsis of the series. im seriously considering collecting the whole series, but it's really very expensive!

Yeah, it's expensive to buy the whole series on DVD/VCD. Plus it's not the original Cantonese version. Otherwise I would buy it in a heartbeat. Hope TVB releases an "official" VOH on DVD/VCD... but I know they won't. It's too long.

It's great for me to have a VOH library because I rewatch frequently and it's as great as the first time. You know, series these days aren't that good so it's nice to always have VOH to watch because I know I'll have a good laugh and entertainment.

It ended because the casts needed a break and wanted to do other series/things. They've dedicated 4 years into the series working hard every single day... I'm not that upset because the casts/crew deserve a break. When they come back, they'll have fresh ideas for us. Just be happy that VOH wasn't forced to end due to low ratings or that it was failing because it didn't. It went strong all 4 years that it was on the air.

Well, I personally believe there'll be another VOH or a continuation series to finish the storyline in 2006 or so. Until then, my VOH III fanfic can entertain you!

read somewhere that florence kwok was initially planned to do voh. but she decided to take a break from showbiz so that the role was passed on another actress. i wonder which character was offered to her. i have a feeling that it's bondy's role.

That would have meant that Michael Tse would have paired up with Florence Kwok then! Hmm... I can't picture the two of them being together. If Florence had been in VOH, then it would have been even more reminiscent of "Colourful Life." To be honest, I'm kinda glad that Bondy was given the role instead. The Bondy & Michael pairing as Ah Yuet & Ah Lo is perfect to me. Florence just doesn't fit in somehow. She is a great actress though.

Anyways, speaking of VOH I...

hey metal! im still here! remember me? i've been waiting for my continuation of VOH remember?! then finally after around 7months of waiting i got my continuation! but so far i got only till....ep160 in my version btw, i wonder, linda had already appeared in what im watching, er, i think she already appeared in around 10eps or so. when will steven appear?

i'm now at ep 350s and im telling ya. i'm testing my patience when watching this series. sasa's character bugs me so i'm most likely gonna skip her part. heard that steven will only appear at ep 365?!

btw, is it just me, or does linda look less pretty in AR than in VOH? lol.
