I just finished watching the series as well. Basically, a lot of parts in the series are unlogical and do not make any sense at all. Sam and HonMui's deaths are pretty stupid. Yoyo and Alex's relationship is not at all romantic, drags on too long, and both of them seem to go insane in the end ? without any explanation. A lot of deaths seem to be caused by those two alone. Otherwise, most of the actors and actresses did quite a good job in the acting.

Agree. Alex and Yoyo's love for each other has to be the most unreasonable thing here.

I was guessing that Alex also went insane. So he didn't really see Yoyo at the end. That was just his hallucination. Where was Yoyo then?

He was shot by Alex, but not dead yet. Rita was carrying him, and they were talking toward some building (church???), and it was 0:00.

The ending of this series was dumb...Alex killed a bunch of people that didn't deserve to die, such as Sam and Patrick. I felt so bad for Sam. The ending was really rushed, having Yoyo suddenly disappear and Alex going crazy. I guess the element of all the main guys dying without being with their loved one was supposed to be dramatic, but in the end, I really didn't care.

I agreed with the column starter...this series could have been better if they take time and really look at the script. Lately a lot of series come out with crappy script and then audience blamed it on the actor or actress accept the crappy actor and actress.

Maybe what you saw was a sales presentation clip? Those appearing in such clips usually are not the final actors when the serials start shooting.
