Default Would Wong Yerk See have been a better man for Lam Chiu Ying?

One of the reasons why Central Divinity Wong Chung Yeung and Ancient Tomb Sect founder Lam Chiu Ying were ultimately not compatible with each other as lovers was that he was much too conservative for her tastes. To Lam Chiu Ying, Wong Chung Yeung's concepts of ethics and duty were probably far too staid and rigid. East Heretic Wong Yerk See, of course, was far from conservative, staid, and rigid. He flaunted convention at every turn. It was Wong Yerk See who first figured out the trick that Lam Chiu Ying had used to win her bet with Wong Chung Yeung, which demonstrates that Wong Yerk See and Lam Chiu Ying had some like-mindedness. Had the two of them met, would they have become lovers...or at least friends?

Not a chance in hell. For all of LCY's traits, none of them would appeal to HYS, except maybe her intelligence. HYS is a rebel of sorts and needs a partners who would accept him for what he is, understand him and most importantly abide him. Not an obnoxious, etc. etc. that LCY is.

Actually HYS and LCY were almost the exact same type of person. However, due to that very reason, they would never be compatible. Only opposites attract

HYS loved his wife dearly for a reason. LCY certainly isnt anything like his wife.

I don't know what the correct phrase is, it's about there shouldn't be two captains in one boat, or something like that. So the answer is no. With both sides being dominant, clashes will ensue.

You're probably thinking of the Chinese expression, and I paraphrase, 'there cannot be two tigers on one mountain'.

or the America's saying "This town(or house, etc) isn't big enough for the two of us"

I was wondering isn't LCY too old for HYS?

'Sides, HYS seemed to like much younger women. LCY was probably too old for him.

That, and, she'd kick his butt in a fight.

because WCY is superior to HYS at the time. When WCY was competeing with LCY by writing on the rock, he actually thought that he did lost and thought there is a possible chance that she is stronger than him.

Until HYS wrote on rock also, WCY knew for sure HYS is much weaker than him, only then he was for sure it was some trick.

but I don't know how long the time have passed since the match of writing a rock, to the time of HYS also wrote on the rock. So LCY might not have increased as WCY did. It might be WCY is comparing his present state to HYS rather than the time when he competeing with LCY. but it is only an assumption.

I've never heard of that one, but I think it works

Or : The grassland is vast, but there still isn't enough space for two heroes. That's the Mongolian version in LOCH.

As long as she loved him and was willing to share, Duan Yu was a perfect man for any lady.

Duan Yu should be great for Lam Chiu Ying but she won't accept Duan Yu to be with anyone else. Wong Chung Yeung is a sore loser. He should have learn from Duan Yu.
