ok, be honest.. how many of you chose a major or a career path based on the $$ you will be making?
none of u i hope haha. i've heard many people choosing something simply because of the earnings, but they dread work everyday. i know, every 'work' is dreadful but u know what i mean.
anyways, yeeeeahhhhhh. im still a youngin' so i don't have to declare a major JUST yet, but i've been thinking about it alot and jumping back and forth so i hope some of you OG's can maybe give a few inspirational words LMFAO.
ok, first of all, i'm not going to choose something i have no interest in whatsoever-- even if i'm going to make $300k a year. no interest just means i'm going to waste my time and my precious life away and i won't succeed.
second of all, i'm shallow (everybody is anyways) and i like the finer things in life so i would like to choose a career path that both suits my interests and makes about $50k year start-off. hey, maybe as i'm working i do such a fantastic job that i keep getting promoted and the paycheck keeps getting bigger
jK.
but yeah, that's not too much to ask is it? and i'm sure alot of people would agree that it's the best way to go.
so now that i've got that cleared out of the way, the 2 majors i'm jumping between is Government and Finance. these 2 seems to intrigue me the most so i'm having a hard time deciding. which major is "better" in your opinion?
my mom was so opposed to the idea when i told her i was going into the business field she kept telling me how it's very competitive and you'll get a lot of headaches haha. which can be true >_>
and oh, i suck at math btw. maybe that's one of the reason why the Finance major is holding me back.
