Hi there
has anyone watch this movie yet? Just like to know what people thought, in particular the ending.
Did they or didn't they end up together?
Thanks Anne

While the two protagonists were taking a stroll along the beach, one of them (can't remember if it's the gent or the lady) mentioned that amongst the four seasons, he/she prefers spring. While the other prefers the snow of winter. Hence, snow in April, combining the favourite elements of both, was mentioned (thus the title "April Snow").Originally Posted by Sunlight_zero36
The lady's (Son Ye-Jin's character) husband passed away, while the gent's (Bae Yong-Joon's character) wife awoke from her coma. The two protagonists then separated for a while because amongst other reasons, Son's character mistakenly concluded that Bae's character would reunite with his wife.
Fast forward to a while later, when on an April spring night, snow fell. Bae's character was in a concert venue/stadium when the first flake fell. Seeing snowfall in April probably reminded him of the lady, the conversation they had on the beach, along with the time and love they shared in the remote town some time ago.
Son's character was in her apartment watching the snowfall.
The closing scene had them both in a car, with the gent asking the lady where she would like to go, or where they were heading, or something else to that effect.
BTW, the scenery when the credits rolled was quite lovely.

I first saw this movie back in January 2012 and absolutely loved it, but one part really confused me because of the English translation. In a scene towards the end, In Su and Seo Young went off to a hotel together, after the two of them had sex, Seo Young had a phone call from the hospital regarding her comatose husband. On my English subtitles, Seo Young said that she would be there the next morning, but on what appears to be the following day she turned up at 3 in the afternoon, only to be told that the unfaithful husband had passed away! It really confused me as to why she appeared to turn up much later than she previously stated, I suspect this was down to an error in translation, although I haven't seen the director's cut version. Any explanation from Korean speakers on this matter would be appreciated.
