But this series definitely is a Liza and Myolie show. They stole the show.. I realize I like to listen to Liza's voice when she speaks. There is an elegant quality about her. Even when she was supposed to be "on the run", looking dirty, she still looks elegant..No wonder she is "Ah Che"..

i agree with you ginne, Liza does seem really elegant no matter what role she is playing...

Liza Does Hip Hop
Liza Wang, Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong took part in a promotion for new series "War of In-Laws" earlier dressed in Hip Hop gear and Liza was really up for it, striking Hip Hop poses and saying: "Yo!". She says: "My costume and Myolie's were found for us by Bosco because has sponsors for this gear. This is my first time wearing these clothes and they are quite comfortable. Maybe I will go and watch Paula Tsui later dressed like this." There were many fans who presented her with gold and lucky packets, like it was her birthday: "My mother passed away this year, so my fans say that they will not have a party for me until next year."

-----------------last 3 episodes spoilers-------------------

Just watch the last 3 episodes today. I have to say that this series' ending is the one most satisfying ending I've seen in recent series. There is no loose end left untied. Everyone is accounted for and the series ends in a very happy mood.

Some comments on these last few episodes.

Mau Chun's 2 friends:
I'm impressed with these 2 friends of Mau Chun. They are certainly no fair-weathered friends. They stick with Mau Chun through thick and thin. Even when Mau Chun's family is down and out, they still stay friends with Mau Chun and never hesitate to help when Mau Chun asked them for it. And they still called Mau Chun 'Chun Siu' (Master Chun). They even break the law to help Mau Chun. Usually, in TVdom, the friends (non main characters) of the rich kid (main character) always abandon said rich kid when he's down and out. These 2 are a surprising exception.

Fung Kwai's and Fung Wing's wives:
I'm surprise that these 2 materialistic wives of the 2 bad brothers still stay loyal to them after they are down and out. They even become beggers together with their husbands.

The Kak Kak:
The last 3 episodes are certainly the shining moment of the Kak Kak. In these last 3 episodes, u can see what a strong character this woman is. The grew up in riches and was pampered all her life. She ate the best and always get the own way. But when she's down and out and all alone with no one to fend for her, she adapts quickly and find a way to support herself. And she is so formidable in the last episode when she fight for her son's life. So regal. U really have to admire her.

Long Hau Hau:
This is my favourite character in the series. I'm glad that she achieves so much at the end. For a woman (that is not a princess) to be made an official ambassador of the country in those days is such a great honour. I'm surprise though, being an ambassador and representative of the country, why the Emperor didn't send someone to fetch her when she came back from France?

The english language:
I found the characters adding english words their dialog very funny.

Sad part:
Only one sad part in the series. Ling San's end. She so does not deserve such an end. Hope Mau Chun still honour their marriage and put her in the proper place in his house. Mau Chun owes her at least this.

im not such a big fan of liza. her voice sounds like shes out of breath or somethin.

myolie's character is quite different from the rest of the other series shes been in except for the series with roger kwok.

The HK media said Myolie has been playing similar roles in a row this year (3 or 4 series). They said it is a bit too much. But I haven't seen them, so I cannot comment.

I especially love Liza's voice in the 80s series such as Yesterday's Glitters. ( so sweet. )I become a fan of hers after seeing her in Yesterday's Glitters.
After surgeries, her voice has changed a little, but I am glad that there is still an air of elegance about her, including her voice. Many women of her age speak with loud, fierce voice.


Bosco said he hoped this series could have part II.
Myolie said she has been trying to persuade the producer. ... Not sure if she succeeds...
I am not sure if the ending has left enough room for a sequel too.

I am shocked that Bosco's master & his daughter (especially) had to die. I was also shocked that Bosco's master killed the emperor's brother ... even though he deserved it.

BUT it was a very good ending.
