I LOVE the theme song, sung by myolie. yeah, lleila tong's face looks too young, so that's why she couldnt pull off that cold four mother. Does ron gn and her end up together? and myolie ends up with sunny right? gosh i hate the father he is such a azz. and lelia's brother is such a jack***

This is series is mediocre, the acting is pretty good. the one glaring flaw in my opinion is that this series is very un-believable, because the characters always meet each other in outrageous places. For examples, when they take a walk, they are walking in the Ming Tomb, which is miles away from the City... and characters often goes to the Mingu Temple, which is also far away, and i just didn't get why they would take a such long walk. Of course, i realize the producers really wanted to capture the old Nanjing background, but it seemed to me their intelligence/creativity is severely lacking, because they could've find better places to shoot some of the scenes.

this series was well acted and is just a classic imo...this series made me a big fan of Sunny and Myolie cuz i nvr noticed their acting b4...i recommend this series to everyone cuz its worth it

This series exceeded my expectations and seriously hooked me for all thirty-six episodes. It is extraordinarily financed for HK standards, carefully produced, adequately edited, well-paced, and well-casted.

The story is far from perfect, though still captivating. The plot-lines are cliché, the characterizations are amazingly rich, the background strong, the development stronger, but the ending weak.

As for the cast, Myolie Wu is acceptable, Sunny Chan does exceptionally well (superior to ATE), Ron Ng improves impressively, Leila Tong is very pretty, Shek Sau performs perfectly, Mandy Cho is tolerable, Ellesmere Choi is just fine, and Halina Tam underused. The child actors are excellent. There are no breakthroughs for this series, but every cast member lives up to the job.

Conclusion: wonderful entertainment, just short of a classic.
Overall rating is 4.5/5

I watched this series it was pretty good I was easily hooked to it :D I must say your review was also nicely written unlike mine - probably the reason why it didnt get published out. Yours was straightforward, simple yet had underlined the main basis of this series. Good job! I agree I loved the Sunny- Myolie pairing. Ron - Leila was an interesting one at first and probably like many others- was everybody's favorite couple at first but then like you said - it got draggy and it lost its zest watever in it. Good series.
