The blazing light of the sun gave heat to every hearts present at that very beach. A serious discussion enveloped the two naïve strangers sitting on the sands of the orange shore.

“Lets elope,” said the young man.

“Kevin, are you serious?” the weeping girl asked.

“Of course, Anne. Meet me here tomorrow, same time, okay?”

“Okay. I’ll wait for you.”

“Thank you.”

Hours passed rapidly as if it was running after something. Anne waited… She waited until the seagulls rested… Till the sun set… Till the chilly wind froze her innocent heart… Till the waiting girl fall into a deep sleep… Came nothing… Nothing but this sense of despair lingering in her heart.

Suddenly, she was floating… Gently ascending… She opened her eyes carefully… He was looking at her… The one she was waiting for all day… He’s now here… Carrying her with mere carefulness… She embraced her so tight… Kevin… her Kevin…

“Kevin, lets just stay at our house…” Anne said.

“But your mother, she’ll get angry at us…” Kevin replied.

“Of course, no… Lets just try…”

“Okay,” the young man answered.

The two, young couples traveled the rocky road barefooted, ignoring the wounds and the pain the ground is causing them, they continued to advance they’re innocent steps.

“Mom…” Anne knocked at the door of their humble house. A pale looking woman opened it.

“Oh my God, Anne,” she embraced her, “Where have you been? I’ve been looking for you!”

“Mom, can we stay here?” Anne asked.

“Huh? What do you mean WE?”

“Kevin and I, can we stay here? Please,” Anne begged.

“Anne, are you crazy?!”

“Yes! I’m crazily in love with Kevin!!!”

Her mom vowed in disappointment as she enter the house.

“Have you eaten already?” her mom asked.

“Nope, we haven’t yet.”

“Oh, ok, I’ll prepare dinner for you.”

Anne smiled at Kevin.

“See, I told you, it’ll all be okay.”

Anne felt everything is going to be all right, but Kevin, something’s really bothering him, something that kept him glancing at Anne and wishing he would never forget her angelic face.

“Anne, your dinner is ready.” Her mom called.

“Mom! Look, you only prepared a plate! Where’s Kevin’s plate?”

It was already midnight. Anne felt something wrong about Kevin so she pretended that she’s asleep. Suddenly, Kevin stood from their bed and went out of the cozy room. Anne followed the young man’s shadow, her face dripping with suspicion.

Kevin led her to the garden near the house where a tall tree stood high. He seems to be waiting for someone to come beneath the tree. Anne stared and waited.

Suddenly, a beautiful girl dressed in white came and embraced Kevin. It seemed that she was asking Kevin to come with her. Anne’s tears fell abruptly. She was about to run near them when to tight grasps on her two arms stopped her. Two nurses are pulling her to a certain direction.

“Kevin! Help me!” the young girl shouted, “What are you going to do with me!” she cried.

But her Kevin, her beloved Kevin only stared at her as the nurses pulls her away from him.

Anne was brought to a mental asylum but she managed to escape from her room through an open window. She ran as fast as she could, ignoring the pain and tiredness of her soul… and then… she felt something weird… the feeling brought her back to the beach… time begun working and unravel its secrets…

She reached the shore. She saw a girl with long hair sitting on the sands. She was waiting for someone to come. The girl is very familiar to Anne. Her heart beat fast. She walked closer, trembling. She sat beside the girl and stared at her face.

Anne shuddered…

How could it be?

The girl…was her.

She was shocked.

She couldn’t move.

Her eyes were glued to the image before her.

Suddenly, she felt someone sat beside her.

“Anne,” it was a familiar voice of a man, “Do you remember when you waited for me that night at this very shore?”

Anne’s stunned. She couldn’t answer.

“That night, I met an accident.”

Her heart beat rapidly. She’s still paralyzed, staring at her image.

“Anne, can’t you still understand? We’re living in two different worlds now. Anne, I’m so sorry, I wasn’t able to fulfill all my promises to you. I need to go now.”

Anne waited. She waited for nothing. She waited for no one. She waited staring at the waves of the aquamarine sea. She waited till the waves devour her… and her timeless love story…
