Biography

Although this young Taiwanese actor and model’s full name is Ethan Ruan Jing Tian, he is known in Taiwan as Ruan Jing Tian and everywhere else as Ethan Ruan. He attended the Hsing Wu College, where he became an excellent swimmer, a skill that is showcased in several of his roles. Born on November 8, 1982, Ethan Ruan was a full-time model before turning to acting. He has appeared in various Taiwanese television shows, both in supporting and leading roles, in what are known in Taiwan as “idol dramas”. His starring role in 2008’s “Fated to Love You” has propelled him toward leading man roles. He has also appeared in numerous music videos and commercials, and has made the break into feature films. He is currently at work on “Monga”, to be released in 2010. With his reputation for charm and a great disposition, as well as his extremely appealing good looks and talent, Ethan Ruan is definitely on his way up!
