Overview of Review: This series is enjoyable and keeps you wanting more. There's so much that happens in the 20 episodes/7 days. It's not a must watch series, but it's a series to watch if you're looking for something original and is like a roller coaster ride because it keeps you thrilled.

Storyline (5)
The plot is original and interesting. To see the main characters try to outsmart one another is just wow. The writers did a wonderful job with everything. The whole series plays out well and everything resolves reasonably in the end. It seems like 20 episodes is long for 7 days, but it's actually not. It's well played. Watch if you're bored of the usual TVB love story drama because this is unique.

Acting: Although almost all the cast were replaced except for Sonija Kwok, the new cast does a great job fulfilling the series' needs. Everyone fulfilled their roles' needs.

Steven Ma as Calvin Yik Cho-on (5)
Steven Ma has always been one of my favorite actors but this really does show his ability to become any character. This is his first semi-villain role and he plays it out perfectly. I have to admit it was really hard to see him as the "bad guy" since he has always played the righteous and "good guy" in all his previous series. It was a refreshing change, but you really can't see him as somewhat villainous. Steven Ma became Calvin and his acting does not fail to impress.

Sonija Kwok as Christy Wang Ka-yu (5)
It's been a while since we've seen Sonija Kwok (since she only filmed 1 series last year), but she still has the charm. Sonija Kwok has always been an actress that fulfilled her roles, but this was the first time I saw her convey this many emotions! Christy is rather emotional and Sonija Kwok fills out the role beautifully. (She looks stunning as a rich Shanghai business man's wife!) Sonija Kwok proved that she can take on roles that are deep and complex at the same time. Her acting makes the audience feel what the directors wanted them to feel. Wow.

Bosco Wong as Chiu Chin-lung (4.9)
Bosco Wong did a pretty good job, but the problem is that he is easily over-shined by the rest of the cast. This might be because of the character itself, but there is not much to Chiu Chin-lung. Bosco Wong is always enjoyable to watch and his acting is always on spot. It's just...he does not stand out, although he has great chemistry with the female cast. It's just his usual acting, nothing new that wows you. I want to see Bosco Wong play different roles, ones that will challenge him. He makes Chiu Chin-lung likeable, but I want him to have a breakthrough role that will prove his acting skills. I want to give him a 5 but you kind of get bored of him in this series.

Patrick Tang as Tai Siu-nam (5)
Patrick Tang is able to portray an awkward bellboy who kidnaps a little boy perfectly! There's no one else who can play this character because I think only he is able to pull off the awkwardness and meekness of the character. He makes the audience sympathize his situation and want to watch more of him. I enjoyed watching him more than Bosco Wong because this was such an interesting role. Patrick Tang was adorable in this series and was definitely the comic relief. He created a lot of humorous scenes and was the main source of the audience's laughter.

Yuen Wah as Ho Chan (5)
Yuen Wah did a pretty god job as the Chief, a handyman. He's an interesting character to watch and creates a lot of touching moments.

Mimi Lo as Au-yeung Ka-ka (5)
Mimi Lo does a superb job and makes you laugh whenever she is on the screen. I think her and Patrick were a refreshing pairing and the two of them did great as comic reliefs.

Joyce Cheng as Tong Ching (4)
It's my first time seeing Joyce Cheng on screen but I think she does an okay job. As a newbie, there's a lot she can improve on. She's kind of stiff and it's sometimes awkward to hear her talk. But overall, she is able to make Tong Ching a cute character who's a bit naive. I want to see her in more series because she does have potential.

Rest of Cast:
What else can I say? Everyone fulfills their role. There is chemistry with everyone. The cast that play the hotel staff did a wonderful job, kudos to Eric Li, who made me laugh so hard.

Chemistry:

Steven Ma and Sonija Kwok (5)
It's nice to see Steven Ma pair with an actress that's experienced (other than Tavia Yeung) because he films opposite of so many newbies. I like this pairing and they would pass off as a real couple. I think it's the fact that these two played the jewel thieves that make the characters so loveable.

Bosco Wong and Sonija Kwok (4)
Maybe it's the fact that Sonija Kwok is a decent number of years older than Bosco Wong, but this pairing is no match for the Steven Ma and Sonija Kwok pairing. I have to admit, they are cute and their scenes are adorable together.

Bosco Wong and Joyce Cheng (4.5)
They are great as "brothers," and you would think that Bosco would end up with Joyce Cheng...but...(-insert- spoiler). I think they had great chemistry and it's such a cute pairing. The way they talked to one another really leads you on...

Patrick Tang and Mimi Lo (5)
It looks like Mimi Lo is older than Patrick Tang, but they are actually the same age! (Patrick Tang just has a baby face that never seems to age...) I loved this pairing! They were great opposites that would make you laugh whenever you see the two! I think their love was rushed, but I guess they had to since it was 7 days. A refreshing pair that should have gotten more screen time!

Should YOU Watch?
Yes, but only if you're bored of the usual drama. This series isn't really WOW, but it is unique and the storyline is original. (When has a group of guests gotten stuck in a hotel for 7 days?) You will end up pleasantly surprised and end up loving all the characters. Or you might end up like me: "What?! That was 7 days already?!"

Watch for the storyline and how everyone's lives intertwine with one another.

This series also teaches a lesson: There are consequences for each little action you do.
