The Legend of the Golden Lion

I barely remembered about this series, i was watching this when i was small but I still have some memory in it. After i have finished watch this series i haven't realized yet that the main character is the Cia Sun in HSDS, maybe because i was still a kid and can't think a lot, but a few years later i realized it.

My impression on this series was, first i found that there aren't famous casts in here and the main character is not too handsome compared to series like ROCH or HSDS. The opening music full of energy but quite glum and evil, and one of the most unique thing in the opening that i still clearly remember is in the middle of the opening the main character with the golden hair scream of his hatred toward Chien Kun the main antagonist, i forget what is his scream but if i'm not mistakes is " Chien Kun owe gold pay with gold owe lives pay with lives ! " but it could be wrong,i don't remember much. And because of that opening the series at the beginning made me quite confuse because the main antagonist at first seemed like a noble person who have good relationship with the main character, later on you will understand of the scream and the opening

About the story.. i don't remember much, but i think at the beginning it tells the story about the battle of the two great warriors at that time that are Chien Kun and Yo Po Thian ( hokkian dialect ), and the main character here with his best friend choose separate path. Cia Sun want to become Chien Kun student while his friend want to become Yo Po Thian Student. And i don't remember much about his best friend who later on turn evil, but i think he's either Yang Xiao or Fan Yao ( i forget.. :-( sorry ). But i remember the the best friend rape the violet dragon in the series. And one of the most shocking things in this series of course the Chien Kun berserk where he rapes and kills Cia Sun wife and families.

I think this series even though not as popular as other TVB series in that time deserves better acceptances, too bad there are not many famous stars in here. Its intrigues story line don't lose to other Jin Yong novels even though for teenager maybe this series don't appeal much

Consider of its own unique and different features, i gave it three and half stars
