Why Jackie want to make another Hollywood film when he could make this movie??
I think this movie is better than his other Hollywood movies
Les Arts Martiaux!
"En Garde","Fleche Enflammee"!!
Because with this movie, he can have full control of the direction of the movie. He can do whatever he likes with the movie. No need to follow all those rules that u need to follow when making a movie in Hollywood.Originally Posted by kamii
And the outcome? The most satisfying movie of Jackie since his Hollywood stinct.

Actually, Jackie Chan can't really do any Hollywood film these days, since his last few movies flopped badly. Tuxedo tanked, Shanghai Knights barely broke even, Medallion flopped, and Around The World in 80 Days was the biggest flop of the summer.
Knowing that he's not exactly box-office material, it's unsurprising that he's not getting a lot of script offers in Hollywood these days (unless he's the one producing the film).

O icic didn't noe jackie chan was doin soo bad.....
I liked shanghai knights, around the world in 80 days wasn't so good but so many guest appearances!! I mean Sammo, daniel wu, swartzneggar, rob schneider.....
I guess people are tired of the same jackie..........he plays the same role in every movie

hehe at least this one doesn't have a side kick (good or bad). I think after the movie around the world is 60? 80? whatever days... he lost lots of creditability in Holleywood.
I wonder if they are going to port this Super Cop into America...

actually....Nic is his sidekick.
Does anyone know the name of the actor who played one of the bad guys in this film? The bad guy likes to fight hand-to-hand. He also spoke Mandarin.
Andy On or something.
Guy was in Black Mask 2.

Rush Hour 3 is the only bankable Hottlywood title that Jackie can do.
Yes, but as time goes by, and as Jackie's popularity plummets more, anticipation for the sequel will start dwindling.
(even TERMINATOR 3 had less than satisfying results in the Box-office)

Considering I was never really a fan of Jackie Chan films, this one was actually not half bad. Though the plot was kinda cheesy...it WAS something different considering it is Jackie Chan in a dramatic role. The stunts were typical, I mean it would not be a Jackie Chan film if he wasn't stuck on top of a bus for a period of time.
And really, they have got to stop putting Daniel Wu into those sadistic maniac roles. I mean he doesn't looks that pyschotic does he? I mean he made a good maniac, but it was a tad over the top this time from him.

Yeah, he should play as the main characters. He's pretty hot. But when he yelled "Come on" in the movie (forgot when in the movie), that was pretty scary, the look in his eyes..
I wonder if they are going to make another Dunken Master... Out of all his films, I think Dunken Master 2 was the best. (Dunken Master 1 was boring).
