10th Golden Pheonix Awards have "Committe Award", "Special Achievement Award", and "Lifetime Achievement Award" and "Film Achievement Award"

Jackie Chan receives "Special Honor Award" for producing 30 films between 1976 to 2004.

"Committee Awards" were given to 12 actors: 8 male, 4 female. 8 Male actors are: Jiang Wen, Liu Wei, Liu Ye, Wu Jun, Fan Wei, Xia Yu, Guo Xiao Dong, Huang Lei, almost all the most talented young-middle aged actors.

4 Females are: Vicki Zhao Wei, Yu Nan, Jiang Wen Li, Jiang Su Su. Zhao Wei won the award based on her performance in "Jade Buddha" with stellar remarks from the panel on her acting performance. *too hard to translate the remarks, all chinese idioms and expressions, skipped irrelevant info*

FYI: This award given every 2 years, 1987 marked the beginning of this award.

    hi friend, congratulation to Vicki.

I just want to correct the news a little bit, the 4 females are Vicky, Yu Nan, Jiang Wen Li (Shui Ling's teacher), and Jiang Qin Qin (shui Ling)

The last time i read, only HK/TW singers such as F4, Ekin Cheng, and Kelly Chen are mentioned in article regarding 30 year Thailand-China Relation.

Hmm the marketting result didn't add up...also it's funny that big actress like Maggie Cheung Man Yuk, Wang Fei, Christy Chung, Carina Lau, or even Lin ZhiLing didn't get mention.

Thuy Tien, all four actresses is great Too bad, Vicki didn't attend the event

I agree with you. The poll seems really off... maybe it's because I don't live in China and I really don't know what goes on there... but it still seems strage that an actor like Jordan Chan can be considered "influential". I don't mean to offend any of his fans, but it just seems like he's not that popular.

the poll is judged majorly on how many fans each actor has. It can't tell that person is powerful or not!

I agree with you Vicki is so in the wrong place. I don't see how Vicki could be #65 with all the fans and fame that she has gained.

To address the issue of the poll, if you look at the methodology, then you will realize that it is a very unscientific method. They pick out about 1,300 internet surfers between 18 and 60 yrs of age who are asked to poll their opinions.
Problem #1) Test group is way too small for any reliable conclusions. Come on. 1300 people in a country of nearly two billion?
Problem #2) Even though they mention the age range of 18-60, I think we can safely say that a majority of internet surfers are younger people, who do tend to gravitate towards idol-ish celebrities.
Problem #3) They don't mention the regions where the polled people come from. Some celebrities are very loved in some regional areas, but not so much in China or Southeast Asian countries as a whole.

Conclusion? Poll is most definitely unreliable (and also, c'mon, Maggie Cheung Man Yuk not on there?!? and a slew of others celebrities who are 30-40 places below where they should be? Haha, please).

I do agree with you on this. Some of these stars are well known but they can't be considered as influential.

The first movie, Vicki just a cameo appearance, not much screen time (hardly any).

The second one is The Duel, with Andy Lau, Kristy Yang, Nick Cheung..i wouldn't recommend it. Vicki play Pinrcess Phoenix, fall in love with Andy Lau's character.

Last but not least, The Assassin Swordsman (last link), this IS shorten version of TV drama "Swordgirl". A ripe off if you ask me, which ever company release it have no ethic at all (sorry for strong language)
