Remember when Lady Choi's brother's assassin went to find CK's aunt to confirm whether the small boy(little CK) has died? Her aunt was in a bad mood because CK wanted to go into the palace. So, when that assassin asked her, she asked him to pay her 100 bucks before telling him.. Lol...

I really like her aunt.. She has great wits and also very comical with her husband.. They added spices into the series..

yea, without CK's foster parents, the whole show may be too sad or bored.
i like the part where her foster mom passed that amulate back to her husband and said she'll visit him in the jail if he's caught.
the music played during her foster dad is so funny when he tried to remove the nose from the buddha's status.
i wonder her foster parents are comedians?

the part where JG is about to b made a concubine, and she and MJH meet...the music is soooo sad...and the sad looks on their faces...

Yup.. loads... from touching to humorous and then to romance.. I love the romance between Jang Geum and Sir Min.. they are better than any other couples.. (have I exaggerated? ).. Anyways.. they rock!

hello everybody, im great to join the 'family' of JEWEL IN THE PALACE, maybe its quite late
I watch DJG because i've heard about the big uproar this drama has stirred in many countries like hong kong, taiwan....yup DJG doesn’t disappointed me, its what I m expected for, n even more than that. oh my god....... i've hooked up on the show, chasing the drama weekend after weekend, aired in WAH LAI TOI.

I was pretty obsessed with the show as you all. There is a lot of beautiful nature scenery, engaging with very good, intelligent n creative episodic stories. The soundtrack is fantastic too, very Korean flavour. The ‘Hamangyeon’- sing by an Italian with the korea lyrics, always play out in most emotional scenery, brings out the right feelings.

I agreed with u, I prefer Kelly's version too. (singing hamangyeon) but the original one(by Italian) is the best, the perfect one.

I adore the character n personality of JG. Her determination, wisdom n luck in overcoming her obstacles is one of the main reason that has drawn me to the drama, savouring every minute of it!

The main cast n all supporting casts are well acted. JG n MJH are so charismatic n dashing, especially when they smiles. I simply adore the love story between them.

Besides what u adds there, here are the scenes that touching my heart.
JG was abandoned by ah lit in the event of veggie epidemic n MJH rush back to the village n searching for JG. Then he advice her like a guardian angle so that not to give up.

The most exciting part of the entire show is when lady Han n JG discovers their connections. Scenery that awaits me for so long, so warm so sweet.

I have the whole series n I m re watching it now.

Started watching from first episode. Completely hooked now. The problem before was probably that I watched random episodes on TV and couldn't get why it was such a struggle for Jang Gaem, and how strong she was despite the extreme difficulties she had to surmount. Despite the exaggerated Korean acting and all the complaints I had earlier in the thread I've come to appreciate that's just how it is. Damn!

The little girls are soooo cute! How can anyone do anything evil to them?

While I loved Oshin (hated wimpish husband and evil mother-in-law though) this is very different and refreshing.
