the only series I've really seen Michale Miu is The Academy and although he may have put on a strict, cold and heartless face all the time in the cadet academy I still liked him as he's very serious and concerned about work and to improve these kids' lives. And outside of that, he's just any good-hearted gentleman. Enjoying watching him right now in TA - too bad heard he dies at the end
Im impressed with this actor and even tho its the only series ive seen him, i know and can tell this guy is a veteran and experienced.

MiuMiu was as cuuuute as ever in it! If you watch closely, you can see MiuMiu perform one of his 'famous gestures' from one of his old movies. It lasts for a second.
The transliteration would be Thuong Hai Phong Van. TVB is really running out of creative titles. Revolving Doors of Vengence was called Khach San Phong Van.Originally Posted by CanDEE

Michael Miu is looking very good for someone his age. I watched him in Au Revoir Shanghai recently. The storyline was a bit bland but Michael Miu's performance and looks make up for it haha. I also like his offscreen friendship with Bosco. This guy is so cool
Suet---I assuming that it's Viet dubbed right? do you know where I can buy the dvds?

Heyx
I'm a big fan of Michael and i was wondering if anyone has any clips or series that are downloadable which include him?
Just me
I actually found him touching the bridge of his nose the way he does in Chor Lau Heung.Originally Posted by tweety365

I read that Michael plays a some-what bad guy because he pays Tavia to lie to Bosco?
they're doing another Shanghai Tan? MKW was in the old one too, as a an extra. I didn't notice at first, but my mom was like, "now there's a handsome man" so i looked closer and there he was, standing behind Chow Yun Fat

any one know the vietnamese title for the movie Fearless duo?????? i watched his movies since i was a child, and after many years, he is sitll my most favorite actor. i want to collect movies that he played in...so...please help me....
I just recently watched an old film/serie that he did and have no idea what the title is.
the storyline is that Micheal's dad picked and raised some orphans boys along with Mike's character. Mike's character is a carefree person who doesn't listen to his dad, doesn't learn martial arts, and is always out having fun while the orphan boys learned hard. one of the orphan boys decided to take over the father's position and has the father assinated(I think) and he even steals Micheal's girl in exchange for Micheal's life. He runs away meets two great masters and tricks them into passing on their martial arts to him...other stuff happens...there was a final fight where Micheal fell into a well where he discovered his father's hidden (magic) manual on how to wield the sword.
the bad guy had this magic metal glove claws that he uses also.
That's all I can remember for I've only seen bits and peices of it and would like to see more, but I don't know the name. Can anyone help?
oh i remember watching something like this too! it's like called "tian long shen jian (heavenly dragon sword)" or something like that?

Watch out! Dihydrogen Monoxide will kill us all!
OH MY GOD!! Finally found a thread of him. Michael Miu Kiu Wai is one of the "5 Golden Tigers" in the '80s along with Andy Lau, Felix Wong, Thang Tran Hiep, and Tong Leung. Love him as Duong Khang in LOCH82. He acted it good.
Humn, he is aging well and looking pretty much in good shape still. It would be nice to see him at least film one more ancient series before he leaves TVB for good.
he was so good in dicey business.
and yes, one more michael ancient series =]

Just rewatch LOCH 1983 after 2 decades later and I am so touched by Yeung Hong and Mok Nianci love story. I can't tell you how many times I have rewinded or skipped to their parts. The only thing I hate is the version I have is heavily edited so certain scenes are cut off but are shown in flashbacks. So sometimes I would wonder if the scene did happend or if the character was dreaming. For example, when Yeung Hong went back to the place where Nianci saved him, he had flashbacks where he stood beside Nianci and watched her do the cloth wheeling. So I always wondered if that is just his dream or is it really the flashback and if so when and where did that scene happened?
I must say, although there are severarl versions of LOCH, from HK to China to Taiwan, no one has yet been able to portray Yeung Hong as well as Mui. None of the others Yeung Hong were even charming, handsome, or charistimatic enough. I was actually hoping Yeung Hong would be saved in the end. It is rared for the audience to actually liked the villian but Mui was so charming and oh so handsome that how can we not root for him?
I especially like him wearing the red and white gam outfit. He looked so hot in that outfit.
I thought he had great chemistry with Yang Pan Pan. It's too bad they never did another series together as a couple. I just bought 'The Fearless Duo' and it's quite funny. It's funny to see Mui acted silly and a little 'coarse' in the series entirely different from his Yeung Hong character where he is sophisicated and charming.
I've been wanting to buy the New Adventure of Chor Lau Heung but Yesasia is currently out of stock. Will have to wait, I do hope they have uncut edition with english subtitle soon.
yeah I hope that come's out on DVD soon, he really played the part well in the New Adventure of Chor Lau Heung
