i tink the roald dhal had some underlying themes that he was trying to portray in his children books..they seem to go against the natural order of things..it is like the children haf greater authority somehow den the adults...ive not read that many of his books but the theme runs through those that i haf read like Matilda, George's Marvellous Medicine, The Witches, Willy Wonka...and all the stories are pretty screwed up if u realize...witches turning children into mice, matilda who in reality would have been unbearable putting super glue in her dad's hat..haha..Originally Posted by Faustus1982
but willy wonka is fun still love all the chocolate there..haha..and tim burton likes things dark so i guess they do go hand in hand..in fact i tink that this version is much darker than the previous one as tim burton digs into the past of Willy wonka.
