I didn't really like JCSS (though tbh, only watched a couple of eps) but have to agree that YM's wardrobe for that series is the most fantastic one yet out of all the productions she's done. The range of costumes, hairstyles & accessories her character donned is really amazing and the best thing is, she manages to look stunning in almost every costume (be it the dazzling, cabaret ones she wears as Bai Xue or the gentle & sweet-looking ones "Xiao Cai" dresses up in). That's what I like about YM's looks/appearance- her versatility. She is capable of pulling off sooo many different styles and always looks fabulous in costume/period productions.

I'm definitely always surprised by the variety of looks she can pull off...not just in her series either. In some of her MV pics she looks like a bubbly 16-year-old (which fits the childish feel of that song), meanwhile in a few of her photoshoots she gives off a totally different vibe and looks a lot more mature. The JCSS looks were one reason I was so excited for "Vanishing Bullet" though--because her character sounds kind of similar so I was expected similarly stunning looks. Well since we haven't gotten a good look at her styling in that movie yet it's too early to judge!

But this girl is seriously crazy. I just watched an interview of her at the Lumi event and apparently she finished a night of filming at 7am, then started heading over to the Lumi event for prep at 8-9am...and apparently had another overnight of filming scheduled for afterwards. O_o When is she going to get in any sleep time?! I don't know if it's her company arranging all these promo events or YM accepting them herself but someone needs to do an intervention!!! I don't think she can keep up this "filming by night, random events by day" pace for too long. I take back my previous comment about being glad we're getting pics/news of her--I would gladly take a silent period with no news if she could just concentrate on sleep, rest, and filming...

Many media channels did reports on this event--I've only selected the ones I particularly liked to avoid too much repetition. XingShang and Sina's reports are included here in full, while CCTV-8, Qiyi and XinYule reports are partially included. (CCTV-6, CETV, and BTV's reports were already included in the previous video I uploaded.)

FSF and YM are having so much fun with this! I know it was probably scripted but it's so funny when FSF looks YM up and down going, "hmmm...think there's something missing...missing a...missing a ring!" Also ROFL at his sly/sneaky expression right before he puts the ring on, he totally does a little eyebrow-waggle too. And afterwards Yang Mi also has a rather cheeky expression with an eyebrow-waggle of her own when she says it's the first time a guy has given her a diamond ring. It's like they're going *wink wink, nudge nudge* at all of us...I'm almost half wondering if they actually are engaged already, bwahahaha...ok just kidding, that isn't very likely at all.

Interesting...the host mentions that he "heard" that Yang Mi will have a collaboration with XingGuang (the production company behind HMY)...in a sort of hesitant "not sure if I should be mentioning this" tone of voice. The director/VP from the company replies that they're "hoping for it". I think I also heard reports that FSF is slated to act in one of their upcoming movies as well...could this mean that FSF's attempts to get XingGuang to cast both him and YM in a movie has come through??? (I know some people are sick of them already but personally I am sooooo up for seeing FengMi costar together in a movie--Painted Skin 2 is exciting of course but since they are only secondary/supporting characters they probably don't have much screentime together.)

Also so sweet that when the host wanted to keep Yang Mi for longer, FSF politely but firmly made him let her leave (probably so she could get some rest after her very long day). I remember FSF once joked he could be her agent because people keep calling him to ask for her contact info...it wouldn't be a bad idea really--at least he'd probably make sure she got plenty of rest and wouldn't overwork herself! (j/k, he's busy enough himself as it is... )

Someone from Zhejiang TV is reporting that "Beijing Love Story" will be aired in January as their 2012 "year-opening" drama. However, apparently Zhejiang TV is not very reliable and don't have a good reputation for living up to their words or something??? So who knows...after all it was supposed to be aired in December originally. I've also read reports of CCTV-8 airing the drama directly after Zhejiang TV but again, might be just rumours.

Yeah, i was looking forward to Beijing Love Story for the longest time. I think this is Chen Si Cheng's first scriptwriting effort and he's also taking on the male lead role. And I'm looking forward to him paired with Yang Mi again. FSF will be guest-starring as well.

Is Chen Sicheng having any scenes with Yang Mi? I was under the impression that he and Tong Liya are the main pair of the series, while Yang Mi has most her scenes with Li Chen (plus some with Yuan Wenkang). Though as the director as well I'm sure Chen Sicheng and YM worked together a lot--I remember a video where YM was making fun of CSC in the director's chair, LOL.

FSF will be guest-starring as well.

They probably gave him the cameo scene because he was visiting the BJAQGS set all the time, heheh!

Each of the 9 different initiatives are promoted by a different celebrity. Yang Mi's initiative was encouraging people to donate money which will go towards buying winter coats, mittens, etc. for poor children in rural areas who cannot afford warm clothing in winter. Feng Shaofeng's initiative was encouraging everyone to be more environmentally-friendly. Other celebs include Li Yuchun, Huang Yi, Chen Kun, Fan Bingbing, and more...in particular, Chen Kun and FBB seemed very active in playing a major role for their intiatives.

I think it was Li Chen who wrote the script, and Chen Si Cheng who directed it.

In other FengMi news I finally updated the "I Do/HMY" megapost with a pretty complete collection of videos, pics, and squeeing over on the FengMi blog. And I made an animated gif of one of my favourite parts of that event:

(FengMi give new meaning to the phrase "mei lai yan qu" (i.e. "flirting with their eyes/eyebrows"). This was right after the reporters asked a simple "how do you feel about being at this promo event?"--FSF seemed a bit flustered and turned to exchange looks with Yang Mi before answering...wonder what kind of silent communication went on between them there! )

Guys we are almost guaranteed something amazing tomorrow, I can't wait!!! YM is attending another event and I am hearing that HG, LSS, and TY will also be attendance. Not getting my hopes up yet but perhaps there is a small chance we will get a GeMi and a CP3 cast reunion??? *fingers crossed* There are also reports that YM will be doing a special appearance of some kind along with Luo Jin at the beginning of the event...no idea what but I adore Luo Jin too and they are good friends as well (worked together on MRXJ, and YM also visited him on set of "Luan Shi Jia Ren"--except I think that was mostly for Tang Yan, heehee, but the picture they took included Luo Jin too!). So basically I am super excited for possible GeMi, TangMi, MiShi, LuoMi...ANNNNDDDD on top of that I am reading conflicting reports of Feng Shaofeng *possibly* attending so maybe add FengMi onto that list?? *jumps up and down excitedly* (Even though I am a "FengMi" above all, I may actually be most excited for the potential of GeMi this time just because they are the only two who haven't had a recent pic together. Not counting that really blurry can't-even-be-sure-it's-them backstage pic we got from the HuaBiao awards... ) Can't wait for the seating arrangements to be released, with this attendance there is sure to be something squee-worthy no matter what, haha.

Apparently they are not airing this till Dec. 31 (as a "New Year's Eve" thing) but it will be held tomorrow and I expect lots of pics. (If I were in China right now that channel would definitely have my viewership on Dec. 31, LOL.) This feels like an early Christmas present... ^_^

Of course, feel free! I actually went on a mini gif-ing spree while I was at it and did a few of my other favourite FengMi video clips (from other events)...so maybe I'll upload them sometime too. XD

(*sigh*...first FengMi got me translating/subbing videos when I never felt like spending time to do it before, now they've made me start making animated gifs for the first time...before you know it I am going to start making those fanvideos of FengMi along to sappy romantic songs, LOL...)
