Oh sorry! I got them two mixed up, you're right that's Du Chun...I forgot who Chen Xiao is playing then! (Just checked: he is 19th prince! Too many princes in these series, keep getting confused. >_<)

Edit: Apparently YM will also be recording an album later this year, to be released early next year...I guess it is inevitable (seems like the trend for actors once they get very popular), though honestly I would rather she just focus on acting--she has enough on her plate right now and she doesn't exactly have an amazing voice that would make me really excited for an album. (Now on the other hand, if she and FSF do a collab and duet on a couple songs, I would be totally for it, heehee. Didn't FSF mention a few times he'd like to duet with YM?? I remember one interview, someone asked him if he and YM would collaborate on a song in the future; FSF answered "Yes, I think so!", then YM turned to him and went "What?!" Lol...alright FSF, make it happen...I'd even settle for a bonus track on her album or something, maybe a full version of Wu Ding, or Hong Dou?? ^_^)

Ok, so some of the dialogue/scenes seem a bit cheesy as can be expected because it is a promo for Lux after all, so there are some weird parallels to hairstyling. Like how it seems YH/YM are obsessed with each other's hair. But it's ok, I can forgive that since this is the first YM/YH collab (or any YM/CP3 actor collab for that matter) in 2 years. And there do seem to be quite a few touching scenes too! ^_^

Squeeeee! Thanks mango. I've been desperate for YH-YM to be a proper onscreen couple for so long I'll take anything I can get I just think they match each other perfectly in looks, explosive acting talent and that rebellious personality. With FSF & YM, it's more of an opposites attract pair.

Hehe, same here! I wonder if there is a "HongMi" (or "YuanMi???" who knows) forum on baidu like they have GeMi and FengMi, I bet those people would be going crazy now after finally getting some material after so many years!

I do think it's funny that it's a hair promo, yet YH has so little actual hair to work with (because he still hasn't fully "recovered" from BBJX baldness, haha). So in the scenes of YM "styling" YH's hair, I keep wondering...what is there to style?!

Oops, I probably got it mixed up (takes me too long to get through the gigantic FengMi thread so I tend to skim through a lot of stuff, lol). I think the clip confused me too, cause it seems like YH is the one trying to make YM remember, when it should be the other way around...

Ru Yi press conference is today (starting in about 20 minutes I think) so I will update later! ^_^ (I know, not as exciting as a FSF or YH + YM collab but it'll be nice to see some clips of the series.)

It is a pretty typical cheesy chinese commercial, haha...and they dubbed YM's voice to make her sound more "mature/motherly"...but, both her and the little girl are so cute. ^_^ (Hmm what is with YM acting alongside all these cute little kids lately? First ZhuZhu in MingYun, then Xiao Xiao Bin in XTSYD, now this cutie in the commercial...and seems like she's a "mom" again here!) oh right! i totally forgot about them being in that series together. although, she wasn't really the one he loved (from what i read), right? so that doesnt count. there has to be a series in which they are the OTP (or in this case, a commercial/promo thing ) to convince you that they're a perfect match

Same here, I actually only watched the first couple eps of Shang Shu Fang (once it started getting He Miao/YH heavy I got bored) so I didn't see much YM/YH interaction there. But they were cute together in CP3--their "caring" towards each other felt more genuine than the "love" between YM/HG.

Along with the text: "In our lives we always re-encounter people. Knowing that taking pictures together when coincidentally meeting on an airplane can easily cause problems, but we still took it." (Reference to the Cecilia/Edison plane pics? Lmao...) YM then replied on her weibo: "Saying it's a coincidence, who believes it, hmmph..." (accompanied by a cute "whatever!" smilie) Awww it's so cute to see them hanging out and joking with each other even after the Lux filming ended! I guess they haven't seen each other in a long time before this, maybe not since CP3--when asked about HG in a recent interview YM revealed that she has not seen him in a very long time (but did say they had lots of fun together back when they did collaborate).

Seems to be some confusion over where this was but consensus seems to be, YM flew to Beijing for overnight HP2 filming yesterday evening (after the Ru Yi press conference in the morning and more Ru Yi filming--a rain scene where she got soaked--in the afternoon). Then this morning she flew from Beijing to HangZhou. Yuan Hong was supposedly also in Beijing and is traveling to HengDian (which is near HangZhou) to start filming the Princess Taiping series.

RuYi press conference: They did the press conference as if they were hosting a "wedding". I know some people disliked her dress--personally I think the dress is ok but I still disike the hairstyle. >_<

Seems like YM has decided to take a different tactic towards the FSF rumours: previously she always used the excuse that they've "been good friends for 6, 7 years, we're too familiar with each other to date!" Well since everyone knows that's a lie now, YM is now saying in interviews, "Me and FSF definitely have lots of familiarity and chemistry onscreen while acting, but offscreen we are not that familiar and have no electricity (chemistry)." She also said during a Ru Yi interview that she has more familiarity with FSF onscreen but more familiarity with Hawick Lau offscreen. (Riiiight...that is why she's always holding hands and laughing/smiling/joking around with FSF at press conferences, what a contrast to the pics with Hawick...plus it goes directly against what she said before about them knowing each other so well! And of course their proven understanding of one another in those "games" that they did in variety shows. Shouldn't take too long before her latest "excuse" fails to work--I'm looking forward to what explanation she comes up with next to try to convince people!) Actually what made that extra funny was when the reporter asked her to compare Hawick and FSF, YM doesn't even wait till the question finishes before interrupting, "I just knew it, and here it comes..." She so clearly had that answer already prepped, practiced, and ready to go! XD It's funny that even though I'm SURE the reporters know they're only going to get a denial from YM, they never fail to ask that question in interviews (and same with FSF, asking him to compare every single female costar with YM)...guess they are hoping for YM to miraculously change her mind one of these days!

Hawick, on the other hand...appears to be yet another total FengMi shipper! XD During an interview before RuYi started filming, Hawick was asked about YM and said: "Right now aren't she and FSF in the "FengMi lian" ("FengMi romance")? I'm afraid of people angrily accusing me of being the "third wheel"! Actually, me and FSF are very good friends too, previously he acted as my younger brother. I think them two are very suitable/fitting, they should consider dating for real, haha." And look how proper he's standing with his hands clasped strictly behind/in front of him... (I find it hilarious that all of YM's male costars who also know FSF keep treating them like they're already a happy couple and hurriedly make sure to emphasize that they have no intention of coming between the two, are not a threat, and definitely not the "3rd wheel"! First Li Chen, then Chi Shuai, now Hawick Lau...Totally making YM's efforts to "use" them to cool down the FengMi rumours futile! The most hilarious one still has to be Li Chen's reaction when YM said she spent Valentine's Day with him, then he turned to FSF with a shocked/scared expression going "We were working, just working!! Don't mind it ok?"

Ok, last YM update of today! I think it's now official: for "Ting Feng Zhe" (Windseeker) Zhou Xun is playing the main female lead opposite Tony Leung and YM is playing Tony's secretary "Chang Xuening". Hmm, doesn't sound that exciting, but I do really like Zhou Xun as well and have a favourable impression of Tony. And I'm sure YM is happy that she will have plenty of scenes with Tony. 2 more cast members were announced: Wang Xuebing and Fang Zhongxin, but I never heard of them before...

I was also happy to hear YM say that while she has been announcing lots of movie projects lately, she is definitely not giving up TV series (she says she really does enjoy filming TV dramas). Apparently she also has a few more movies in the works that are still as of yet unannounced (yeesh and I thought 4 movies was more than enough to keep her busy in the near future >_<).

Hmmm as much as I dislike YZ, I'm interested to see how he's going to adapt a Jinyong story (that is, if his updates are true because very often, he announces that he's gonna adapt this and that famous story but it never materializes) because he probably won't get to exercise much of his "creative" juices since it's an adaptation and not him scripting the story from scratch which is excellent imo. I wonder who he'll cast as LHC & RYY and for once, I'm actually hoping he uses our YM for the female lead

YuZheng + Er Yue He= OH MY GOSH....the world is falling down!! I'm gonna have a heart attack . My beloved Yong Zheng Wang Chao!! I'm PRAYING PRAYING YZ will not cast Mickey He as my beloved Yong Zheng again!! I need a hardcore well-rounded actor who's experienced with historical dramas to master this complicated role (maybe Du Chun???) I'm actually getting really fond of Du Chun and he definitely can act as a tyrannical emperor (he played the younger Emperor HanWu in HanWuDaDi. I really hope YM and Du Chun can collaborate together in the future.

P.S. Du Chun+Li Chen+ FSF are all great buddies...so maybe he'll join in the fun with all the fengmi teasing...

...WHAT. He's re-adapting YZWC?! Nooooo...YZ is the worst butcherer of history I've ever seen, and he wants to remake one of the greatest historical series of all time?! *facepalm* Oh and based on how much he loves Mickey He and keeps saying how fantastic his version of YongZheng is, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he repeated this role... >_< At least JinYong's series is fictional and I have actually never read the books so I don't mind some changes (as long as he doesn't completely butcher it like LOCH 2008 did). Also sunnysnow makes a good point that YZ seems to do much better when he's not writing from scratch--after all I thought the first half of MRXJ (which was semi-adapted from a novel) was excellent--dunno if the second part fell apart because he took too many creative liberties or if the novel itself got boring/draggy in the second half.

Whatever, I dunno if I'll even watch the new YZWC since the original can't be surpassed in my mind (especially if YZ is involved). However, I am still looking forward to XAJH quite a lot (been so long since I've watched a great wuxia series since both ROCH 06 and LOCH 08 were such disappointments). So he better not screw that one up!

I haven't seen Du Chun in anything but I have a pretty good impression of him just because he is such good friends with Ady, FSF, and YM. XD Awhile back, the four of them were so cute joking around with each other on their weibos! I also remember an interview with Ady + Du Chun, they were talking about couple names...Ady was bemoaning her + Du Chun's couple name ("An Chun Dan", meaning "quail egg"--I actually think it's rather cute! ^_^). Then she said, "I believe Yang Mi + Shaofeng's couple name is..."FengMi", I think it sounds really great!" Then she turns to Du Chun and goes, "So how come when it comes to you and me we become "An Chun Dan"?!" And both of them start laughing! (The same people also interviewed FengMi later on in the video and they were soo adorable together. As always. Heh. And later they even asked Tang Guoqiang--the perfect YongZheng from YZWC--about his opinion on FengMi...LMAO. So random!! Obviously he said he didn't really know much about them...he was probably thinking, "wtf, why are these crazy reporters asking me about something totally unrelated to me?!" This was back in March right after Gong finished airing so I guess the reporters couldn't help themselves, haha.)

It'd be a dream to see YM as RYY - and I'm very confident YZ would want her for the role. To give YZ some credit, he doesn't cast Mickey He as the No.1 lead, although he does give him meaty roles. There's no way HG will be LHC as he's a Tangren person. Even Wallace Huo, due to his tight relationship with Tangren, probably won't work with YZ (the last time he worked with YZ was during Rouge Snow days, but that series was produced by Fan Bing Bing; YZ was just the scriptwriter). Much as I like YH-YM together, I can't see YH as LHC. I can totally see Deng Chao or Du Chun as LHC.
