Plus, i didn't put every one of Nic's songs on my iPod, which i tend to listen to more than cds. I'd have to dig through my Nic albums to see which song that is. Anyway, from what i can remember, i thought it was sung in Cantonese. But my memory is quite foggy at the moment plus by now Nic's released a lot of songs in Mandarin too. Oh, and i have no idea which tv show that is either.
Hi jadebutterfly and nice to meet u! I'm Nic's fan too but I didn't come here for a long time! I was so busy!
By the way Beanny, you said that you heard that son in cantonese, you are right!

Whoa, there are a whole lot of posts in Nic's thread now that you've started posting here, JadeButterfly. Kinda reminds me of when Leanna first came in here. Haha. But i remember her "forcing" us to post in here.

Anyway, i definitely did not look up a currency converter to figure out how much of a rip that Senses album was. Hehe. I'm still curious to know how much it is in US dollars.

I definitely am a big online shopper. But i think i'm good at doing it in moderation. I'm like tanteun in that i've been buying Japanese stuff. Though she's definitely been doing it much longer than i have...i'm still a relative newbie. I guess as long as i don't become interested in more groups then i should be okay. Hehe. But i usually have to really like a group before i buy their music. Anyway, this stuff can really rack up, you know. Though i still plan on being faithful by buying basically every album Nic continues to release. It's like tradition for me. Hehe. I have most of his albums except for some of his earlier albums, Senses, his Viva album, and some of his compilation albums. I think by now most of his albums except for some of the more "recent" ones have been re-released. I notice that they're cheaper than what was originally released. I wonder if those albums come in those more specialized formats or if they're just in a regular cd case. But i guess it's better than nothing.

Speaking of Nic's albums, will he be releasing one some time in the near future?

I didn't know there was going to be Dragon Tiger Gate 2 either. I bought the first one and thought it was okay. Though i have to say Shawn Yue's weird mop-like blonde hair was really distracting. LOL. Are all 3 of the main actors in the 2nd one too? I saw the movie listed on Nic's Wiki page but the status says "unknown." So i guess it hasn't even been filmed yet?

Movies wise i've bought and seen most of his movies. Except for maybe some of the really old ones like The Mirror and Metade Fumaca. But as i was scrolling through his list of movies, i realize there's still quite a few i haven't seen. Hehe. Though i guess i just wasn't really interested in some of the storylines and the only way i would be able to watch his movies is by buying them so i guess i didn't think they would be worthwhile purchases.

So, JadeButterfly, you got lost and just somehow ended up in Japan? Must be nice! I'd love to get lost only to find out that i've landed myself in Japan. So in what city do you live?

Thanks, liusing! Long time no see by the way. So my memory was right then. Hehe. After i made the post yesterday, i kept thinking about whether or not i heard the song originally in Cantonese or not. But i thought about it some more and was like no, i can hear Nic singing that song in Cantonese in my head. So that song is from his Horizons cd? I don't have that cd but maybe it's on his Huang ("Yellow") compilation cd. 'Cause that's the only way i would've heard it if that song is that old. Though i guess i have his Most Wanted cd compilation but i definitely listened to Huang first and when i listened to Most Wanted, i recognized most of the songs already that i didn't listen to it as much. I wish his compilation cds didn't overlap so much sometimes. Hmm, maybe i'll try to dig up that cd and find it. When i do, i'll upload it for you, JadeButterfly. But it sounds like you like the live version more and the live version was sung in Mandarin. So just let me know if you still want that song or not. Oh, and by the way, Huang is the theme song for Amazing Twins.

You know, i first became a fan of Nic's when i heard the end theme song for Legendary Siblings with Jimmy Lin and Alec Su. It sounded very moving and i liked it a lot. I finally found out that the singer was Nic Tse and for some reason i thought he was older in age (maybe because of his voice or something) and i remember thinking i was surprised that he was actually not as old as i had thought. And then i ended up buying my first Nic cd at a NYC Chinatown store. It was his 世紀預言 (Shi Ji Yu Yan) cd. I didn't realize that it was a Mandarin cd when i bought it (i was more into Cantonese songs at the time) and apparently, i got the limited edition of it. Hehe. So after that, i just kept buying his albums and then ended up watching his movies. He didn't do any series at the time except for his Aiming High series which i never watched. But anyway, that's my little tidbit on how i became a Nic Tse fan. So i became a fan from catching one of his songs that one fateful day i decided to rent Legendary Siblings.

So tanteun, Nic and Cecilia are already talking about how to celebrate their one year anniversary? That's so sweet and cute. I wonder what baby Lucas looks like now.

indeed, japanese stuff is more expensive, and thanks God, i only have my eyes to laruku stuff most of my money out for their concert ticket...

i dont know when dragon tiger gate 2 will be release, suppose to be this year. Nic need to play some different character like wu huan ( the promise ). this movie maybe a moment i start liking him. He doesnt hesitate to play the antagonist at all.

i was born and grown up in Bogor until 17th. rarely visiting jakarta despite my father is a betawi-an who live out of jakarta.
i think for chinese cd we can find it easier than other stuffs , because we have 2 shops that especially sell an import cds and we can also order stuffs from there.

kyaaa envy u to live in Japan so can watch the concerts and buy stuffs more cheaper than us in overseas. (i'm into Johnny's now), btw which city u are? i have friend in Tokyo. She's always helping me to get some stuffs in Japan

ahhh so u live in INdonesia for such a long times and ur fater is a betawi-an?? wowwww

owh really?please tell me the shop name, i might ask my boyfriend to buy it for me , his is getting crazy coz i am talking about nic all over the time

i think you got it wrong, coz japanese overseas stuff is cheaper than the original japanese release. so you better buy it on yesasia or else than order it from japan. about Johnny`s, Aiba Masaki of Arashi came to my restaurant for several time. and our restourant son owner working for entertaiment business ( dont know the detail ), once he made our place as base camp when Yusuke Santamaria took a movie sceen in makuhari.

yes, my father is betawi, but He live in Bogor right now. my mom is a chinese but neither she nor her children speak chinese right now. and i am living in tokyo right now... used to live in shizuoka and shinjuku, then moved to chiba then to tokyo then to HK maybe...hahahahaha

Thanks, tanteun, for the conversion. Good grief, $140 is a total rip for an album. If they're expensive, they would be about 20-something dollars but nothing like 100 bucks. I couldn't read the description but is it an exclusive limited edition of Senses or something? But still, that's a total rip off.

JadeButterfly, in regards to Legendary Siblings, Jimmy sang the opening theme song while Nic sang the end theme song. Come to think of it, i actually have both of their albums that contain the respective theme songs. I see you in the Jimmy thread here too. I was a big Jimmy fan but now i've kinda moved on to other actors. Hehe.

A new Nic album? That's nifty. I wonder when it will come out. Can't wait to hear it.

Whoa, really? I totally thought that if you buy Japanese stuff in Japan itself, it would be cheaper. I always thought imported stuff was always more expensive. So you're saying buying from YesAsia is actually cheaper than buying from Japan? It's really hard to believe.

Wow, you met Aiba? And more than once? That's so cool. He seems like such an easy-going guy. So did any other JE guys stop by the restaurant too? Like maybe other Arashi members? Ahem, Matsumoto Jun? Hehe.

Must be nice to live in Tokyo. I bet it's a fast-paced city. I definitely need to venture on over there one day. How long have you been living in Tokyo and Japan, in general, by the way? How's your Japanese? Do you mainly communicate in English over there? So it sounds like you move around a lot, JadeButterfly. Are you just into moving around and living in different areas? Though you did mention school. So are you going to school in Japan? Anyway, cool beans. HK's your next stop. You'll be closer to Nic.

LOL. tanteun is a total Jin lover. I love him too. Hehe.

Japan stuffs sometimes have 2 version of release. It's like one is Made of Japan and the other is Made in HK/Taiwan which we called it as "Overseas version".

If we bought it online well it's depend which one u prefer. If it's Japan's so the price is the same as the shop in Japan (expensive). It's different story if you buy Japan version from local store in your country because the price can be higher 2 or 3 times than the original price.

And if it's Chinese/mandarin stuffs, there's also sumtimes 2 versions are released. Either it's HK version or Mainland version (cheaper)

Hmm, regarding buying Japanese albums in Japan, i would still think that the price would be cheaper if you were to buy in Japan. I actually buy the Japanese version as opposed to the HK/TW version from YesAsia if the Japanese version is available to buy. I just have this thing when it comes to buying the original original. I do notice that the overseas stuff is cheaper but i still figured the Japanese version is still cheaper to buy in Japan than to buy it elsewhere. So yeah, i was mainly talking about buying the Japanese version from outside of Japan versus in Japan. Well, i think that YesAsia jacks up the price a bit on their site whereas maybe cdjapan probably sells it at face value. The only thing with cdjapan is that shipping costs would be really high for me so i prefer to buy from YesAsia, though yes, i'm aware that by doing so, my purchase would not contribute to Oricon chart ratings.

That's cool, JadeButterfly. So i guess you can watch Japanese stuff without needing subtitles. Must be nice! BTW, are you a MatsuJun fan too?

So is Nic one of the main characters in Aiming High? That's a TVB drama right?
    I <3 MatsuJun
